Update: Ok I see, they "compensate", but at MIN price. I do not agree on this transaction. They will just take away my property I worked for MONTHS to collect. What is the point of owning things in this game if they can be taken away by "the government" at will?

500m * 0.85 = 425m. If we get the exchange price they took to vendor, we will make 466m (iirc).
Yes, you are right, I did not account for the tax! Selling the crystals even at max current price would be worse than directly selling to vendor. For people without VP, even much, much worse.

It doesnt matter what you say, you dont work for PA, you cant know the inside detail how exactly they going to perform this robbery.
They did some exchanges earlier without much problems, yes maybe, its not a guarantee they will do it properly again this time.
The problem is this company has a bad reputation, which leads to players expect bad things happen when things change.
Its the company's fault, not ours. They screw up constantly last 1.5 years, and they never learn.
Also the problem is this f2p/p2w model, they already have my money, I cant cancel subscription if I dont like new changes, I cannot affect their decisions, they will do whatever they think is ok, my opinion doesnt matter. In fact, I think it would be better for them if I just leave since they cant have any more money from me and I just complain and take space in their databases.
Speaking of databases, do you even remotely realize how big DB is for a project like BDO?
They claim they going to implement these crystal exchanges to "optimize" DB, this is ridiculous. Reducing even several hundreds of records in a DB so big will "optimize" nothing.
I can explain it only way, there's a team of people who need to justify their employment and salary, so they seek to "optimize" (not) things that dont need to be optimized, then present it to top management as improvement (not) to keep being employed.
Also, do you even remotely realize what it takes for a casual to save 19B silver, while not playing 24/7 having job and famility to take care of?
You dont.
Now they announce they going to take away my property and "compensate" me at min price. It does not matter what is written is ToS, I put time and effort in my things, those are MINE, I own it and I decline exchange on their terms. They can forcefully take away my things from me, but this will have consequences.
Mmm, if you do not care about anything that anyone else but PA employees say, it was pointless trying to talk with you in the first place. But at least other players who might have been confused about the specific process of this change may appreciate the information.

They could have made their announcement with a clear message about what will happen. The notes are vague and open to either interpretation, which is just bad communication again from PA. How about something like:
Up to 16 crystals will be converted to the generic mastery or generic exp crystals.
If you have more than 16 mastery crystals, the extras will be converted to silver.
If you have more than 16 exp crystals, the extras will be convered to silver.
