Tried to fish at the Grana event spot, Abundant resources, no bites in 30 minutes.  Was told the same case at the Velia spot in server chat.

Stopped at Atanis pond on the way by and got a bite within 20 seconds, so it seems to be the event spots that are affected.

ETA - Someone reported a plump amberjack catch at Duvencrune, but no other bites and at least 10 minutes wait.

Hit Y claim the crio fishing rod and fish at event spot. I think you won't catch anything at these spots with reg ones like balenos or triple float or the whole thing is just bugged.

* During the event, only Plump Coelacanth and [Event] Plump Amberjack will be caught in the event fishing area.

* If you need to catch specific fish to complete a quest or challenge, please move to a location other than the event fishing spots!
* During the event when only expensive fish are caught, the time taken for bites is notably longer than usual.

Afk bite = 11 minutes.

Conclusion: a very bad event.

Plump Coelacanth is quite a popular fish in permanent event locations with an AFK catch time of about 90 seconds.

Plump Amberjack is not worth 11 minutes. And this is abundant time, in exhausted zones this time is 2-3 times longer.

Oh good, time to go back to papu island to finish my donkey gear or at least get closer.  

Too bad I liked making 400m a night at velia with the well change.  This event is actually less silver than afk fishing was without it.

I can confirm this event either doesnt work as intended or simply is bad
