Suggestions/Comments: I feel like the pet type system is pointless. As a player you'll end up having a bunch of low-tier pets with no use whatsoever, and as a company it keeps some players from buying more pets. I strongly believe that removing the restriction this mechanic brings with it would result in a win-win scenario, and there's no reason not to do so. I do understand the need of differentiating pets and making some rare or harder to get, which is why I think that it would make sense to simply remove the restriction.
Similarly, I don't see why we shouldn't be able to exchange T5s. Matter of fact, this recent post talks about just that. Exchanging T5s would give players two reasons to keep buying pets after having a full set of T5s; the first one is quite simple, just being able to have the pet you want as a T5 instead of the one you managed to get. However, it'd also allow players to reroll skills. As I said before, just removing pet exchange restrictions would most likely result in a win-win scenario.
For example, say you've been playing for a while. You probably managed to get a bunch of pets for free through coupons, events and the story and now have 5 T5s. You could spend about 50€ to turn your 2 rare, 2 premium and 1 classic pets into an army of crows, ducks, maybe even dragons. You might eventually even spend more money just to reroll their skills. You could also not do this, of course, but as of now there's no choice to make.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd say that making this simple change to the exchange system would make pets a lot better for everyone, and much more enjoyable!

Yeah it sucks. They want us buy Ghostly to upgrade them.

I also really hate the type system for pets. It makes me not want to buy pets at all (alongside everything else that is wrong with the pet system tbh...) Back when I was originally active in bdo I'd buy pets all the time just because I liked how they look, but not anymore. Not until they rework the pets in general.

It's honestly such a weird decision. If they removed all restrictions any pet would do just what Gosphy does, and on top of that players would have even more reasons to buy pets. It helps players and gives them money, win-win.

Might just be me, but I feel like the pet system is alive only because they loot things for you. Other than that it feels like an outdated mechanic.

i made a feedback about related Pet topic while ago. Post

I think pets feature should have:

• A option to market them of any Tier. Same as gears you can market them after enhance them.
• Remove Type restrictions.
• Discard option to not wanted Pets.
• Skin change to T5 pets.
• Pet Talent (or Skill) Change Coupon. Same as horses such coupons.
• Reduce more pick-item-up speed cooldown.
• Simplify Pets.
• All-Skins-In-One Skin Change Coupon.

Pet system needs to be either scrapped to repurposed.  Pet looting is so $hitty.   We should just automatically get the loot from every mob we kill.  There should never be a case of clearing mobs faster than your pets can pick up the loot.  Repurpose pets to give different stats or something.

Pretty much. We're not even asking to get anything for free, just let us use what we already have and spend money is new ways to make the pet system actually interesting.

Coming soon in the Item Shop: new item to change pet type, price: 10 euros.

Pet types effectively hinder their enchantment. I have a lot of rare premium and ... event t1 pets with which I have nothing to do because each of them has a valuable bonus and I have nothing to combine these pets with to increase their tier.

Conclusion: removing pet types would be a very good change.

That'd be nice. I think we're very discouraged to buy pets nowadays. Recently, I loved the looks and skills of the Azure Dragon pet, but I didnt buy it because paying 11€ for the pet itself PLUS all it'd take to level up to T4... again, all that for just  T4 pet.... heck no

After getting a t4 squad with a t5, spending any more on pets doesnt feel worth it at all when you compare the cost vs the tiny buffs from skills and cosmetic value
