Like the title says, I'm Curious are there any Day 1 vets who actually prefer what has become of bdo Open World PvP?
And if so, explain your stance please!!
BDO is now a completely different game, so no one cares about what it looked like on the day of release.
Been playing since the alpha, beta & conq pack head-start. I love this game for its pve and lifeskills and knowledge system - basically everything that is not PVP.
8 years later and there is still tones of stuff for me to collect and complete. I'm currently working on the 100k quest title. I'm at 99k right now!
So yes personally, the PVP changes have been good for me, especially the marni hour grind spots and no longer getting a perma war just because someone decided you looked tasty enough to grief while stood in heidel. (yes, this has legit happened before).
I can however, see why the PVP focused crowd would be upset and don't dispute their valid feelings. But to answer your question, yes I'm a day 1 player, and yes I feel fine about these changes. We do exist :)

I do care about it, because BDO lost some realy good features. It gained many good things that makes it way more easier. Some QOL that was realy nice, but in general BDO lost its soul. Now you cant even describe it. So yea Im not happy about the changes.
(because you dont care about something doesnt mean no one cares. stop been so selfish)
we have AoS now if you want to have real PvP.

Maybe you don't remember, but I've had BDO since its release on Steam. And I didn't even download it for years. Why? Because I considered it to be total p2w crap (paid pets, paid inventory slots, paid weight, etc.). It was only after many years and changes (i.e. 3 years later) that I started playing, but only because I paid extra (for the above-mentioned wages, workers slots, warehouse slots, etc.).
I have been playing very little for over a year because PA only pretends to do something instead of introducing specific changes that I have been talking about for years, i.e.:
- pve only channels (they've made a lot of changes, but it's still not enough, as I said: I still can't effectively train horses or kill crocodiles peacefully in the ocean.)
- guaranteed, progressive and sensible enchantment system (only Jetina system so far makes sense in the entire enchantment system, although not entirely, because Jetina pens are not free, they basically cost almost the same as a pens from market; Ancient Anvil, as expected, turned out to be a total failure)
- free or almost free fast travel system to any node (we got Magnus and so what? the cost of travel was and is huge, and it only covers a few places on the map, and in its original form required a few loading times, each of them is a chance to crash the game; yes, the cost has been reduced to 5m, but it is still way too much, and the number of wells is too small).
And no, nothing is easier, you may earn 10 times more from trash today, but true end game items cost 30 times more (and life skills still don't earn you any money).

In other words you have no idea how the game was in the begining. So you cant make relevent coment on topic. And ofc waht you postet is total offtopic.
