1). There are 0 base Blackstar pieces on the market because no one is making them.

2). It costs too much to make for the price you would be able to sell one at.

3). People creating Obsidian gear need 1-2 (1 if buying BS off market).

4). Grinding for a rare drop like Specter's Energy leaves no sense of progression

edit: Also please fix base market price for Blackstar gear as it cost on average 530m in material costs alone and there is a 45min chain quest you have to complete to even obtain the gear. That is part of the cause to why no base Blackstar gear is being sold.

There needs to be a different way to get these Specter's Energy much like obtaining the rest of the obsidian gear pieces. I'd like it so in the areas where they drop an item would drop at the same rate as fairy petals that vendor at 1m each and you can exchange 30 of them at Cidel Maya in Thornwood Forest for a Specter's Energy.

I'll tack on my personal opinion that it takes way too much to effort to make obsidian blackstar gear. I'd much prefer an easier way to upgrade or the ability to buy what you need to upgrade much like buying caphras stones. Especially since BS is often just a PvE gear set since boss gear are ultimately more affordable, stronger and easier acquired. 

Gear made for grinding and you complaint to have to grind for making them...?????

Noone selling the base cause the trash market system don't let the palyers to sell it on their real value, and noone willing to sell it for less than what the materials cost.

If you want to buy it, you can get it at DUO+ levels.

Also they already buffed the Specter's droprate, there are players siting on 10+ specters, no further buffs needed for the droprate.

By the way, you're wasting your time/money if you go for those pointless obsidian upgrades. Just sell that shit elvira mats to vendors, and use real gear instead.

I'm not complaing about the grind, i'm complaing about the grind being 100% rng I'm just trying to get my last obsidian piece and instead of PA doing random drop events from rift bosses for it they should just create another obtaining method. I'm sitting at 357dp with two tet distos and will be at 361dp as soon as at get the specter's energy. Thats not even including the 32 monster dr I'm getting. All for a lot cheaper

Don't, and I repeat, do not make the obsidian upgrades.  It is a waste of silver.  If the upgrade could be added to the weapons, they would be useful, but 4 sheet DP is not worth 3-4 billion silver that you can never sell after you have it and won't work if you get the item to pen.

Just spent 2 hours a protty, got 3 Specter's energy Clearly the drop rate is fine if you actually grind.

Do not listen to them. Obsidian BS TET is great alternative vs boss gear if you don't have very high boss gear CR (most don't have). All mats you can obtain just from playing without spend any penny. For CR you need buy a lot caphras (there is no way to effectively earn such amounts by playing).

BS set give you additional DR+5.

For obsidian: 

- Combined Magic Crystal - free, or you can buy cheap on mp

- Fragment of All Creations - free from melting trash from rift boxes, or you can buy cheap on mp

- Oils - free but it's a private matter for everyone (I have it for free), or you can buy cheap on mp

- Garmoth's Scale - free from drop, or you can buy cheap on mp

- Concentrated Boss's Aura - yes it hurts but ... free from world bosses boxes or scrolls bosses boss gear

Now look at the prices.

Dim PEN CR6 = Dim PEN 21b + Caphras 7,2b = 28,2b

OBS TET = BS TET 12,5b, and thats all you pay; but lets add the rest, crystals 55m, acc ~ 55m, oils 2,5m, garmoth 85m, aura 1,4b = ~ 14,1b

Conclusion: Obsidian BS TET costs 2 times cheaper then Boss PEN CR6.

Just cause you loot them it won't be "free", as you still lose money if you use them instead of selling. This is the typhicall not so smart player's thinking.

And while you can get full TET obsidian tempearly, what do you do afterwards? Uninstall? Or do you sell it, and buy regular armor and chapra it? or go hard whale into PEN BS atempts?

You see there will be full fallengood at a point, and by PA's lazzy way of working, they will probably just copy paste the armor methood, so either a PEN BS, or a c10 boss. Now which is the more future prof investment?
