No, BDO doesn't need to become just another WoW clone, go play WoW or WoW 2.0 aka FF14 if you want to play that type of game and stop trying to destroy BDO.  FF14 is white hot garbage, it's a solo game that you only interact with others once you start pushing "end game content" and even then you only group up once a week for your raids where all you do is stand on a certain color if you are highlighted a color or stand on a different color if you are highlighted a different color.  FF14 is made for children and everything is handed to you on a silver platter.  FF14, WoW and all the "global trends" are MMO EZ mode, they are not fun they are not challenging, they are not rewarding.  FF14 is a bunny girl, house decorating simulator that pretends to have content once a week.  You work for nothing, you strive for nothing, it's basic, boring and everything is handed to you.  Oh sure you can "level up" other "jobs" but it's not needed.  Oh yeah you could do "life skills" but all those can be done in macros.  

You call BDO terribly boring combat, when combat in FF14 is just clicking hotbars and standing in the right spots.

When I say it is Designed for Children, I mean that it is designed for a child to play.  Much like checkers, go fish, and Connect 4 is designed for children to pay because of their symplicity, where as Chess, and Cribbage is designed to people with higher congitive skills.

FF14, WoW and the rest of the hand holding MMOs are mechanically and mentally easy to play.  BDO is more mechanical and mental than any of the other games out there currently.

I say this to everyone that starts to say that this game or that game is better than BDO.  That is your opinion, and if you think BDO is inferior, go play a different game.

BDO is, outside pvp combat (on some classes), totally simple and brainless zombie game that can be played with clicking few buttons and maybe opened spreadsheet in browser.
