[Warrior Reboot] New changes on the grab don't make any sense.

So today on Global, all grabs got their CoolDown increased.
In the case of the Warrior, it doesn't make any sense. When we got the succession, we got a Prime version of the grab, Take Down. The skill got a little bit more damage, a Super Armor but in exchange, the CD has been increased by 5 secondes.

In Absolute, there is no SA, and the Cooldown is 8 secondes, in Prime, there is a SA but 13 secondes of cooldown. During the reboot, the CD of the Prime Grab has been decreased by 2 secondes. So it went from 13 secondes to 11 secondes.
But now, with the update of today, we have two grabs, with the same effect and the same cooldown. I won't lie it's very funny and stupid. I don't know who's the dev who did this, but this dude needs an award.



So, remove Prime Grab and creates another skill.
Idea of new skill :

Prime : Frienzed Dash
Hit damage 1314%x6.
Critical hit rate 100%.
Floats on good hits (effect nullified during cooldown).
Super Armor while using the skill (effect nullified during cooldown)
Damage Reduced during Cooldown.
PVP damage reduced by 55%.
15 secondes of cooldown.

Prime : Spear.
Hit damage 1516%x5.
Nearby area damage 1516%x3.
Critical hit rate 100% (effect nullified during cooldown).
Forward Guard while using the skill (effect nullified during cooldown).
Accuracy Rate 12%.
Knockdown on good hits (effect nullified during cooldown).
Damage Reduced during Cooldown.
PVP damage reduced by 50%.
10 secondes of cooldown.

Prime : Charging Thrust
Hit damage 954%x6.
Critical hit rate 100%.
Super Armor while using the skill.
Movement Speed up.
Movement Distance up.
PVP damage reduced by 40%.

Prime : Shield Charge
Hit damage 1270%x7.
Critical hit rate 100%.
Super Armor while using the skill.
Movement Distance up.
Stiff on good hits.
PVP damage reduced by 55%.
4 secondes of cooldown

Mayority of the prime skills are just the absolute skills but slightly stronger so IDK your point really...

Let me ask you question.
What's the point of having two grabs if the only difference is little bit more damage ?
And who care about grab damage ?
The original idea of the Prime Grab was to get a super Armor with a bit more damage. But in exchange, the cooldown has been increased to not abuse it.

But now, we have two grabs, same effects but one has a little more damage than the other one. What's the point of it ? None. I think Warrior is the only class who got a Prime Grab. But now, it's the most useless skill after Charging Slash.

Majority of warrior Prime kit increases the damage of its base skills by 50-100% because the kit is mostly used for protection/ccs rather than damage on the awakening spec. Having a prime that only increases the damage by 30% on a base skill that just does 1279*2 damage means that 30% will barely be noticed. If there is no real benefit with having that Prime version then clearly needs to be looked at. But I have to agree that it woul be better getting a new Prime skill and removing Prime Take Down. Hard to believe a grapple skills would get buffed while we have grapples change incoming.

 

Prime skills should be real improvements of their base skill, not just a bit more damage and calling it a day...

 

 

On another note: Grapple Success Rate +10% on Prime Take Down has no real effect, it never worked. And it's about time that Take Down gets that Accuracy Debuff changed since Warrior is not an evasion class so we can't even benefit from that.

Ask PA about it.

The whole prime skills are totally pointless, ppl asked absolute skills to be buffed, and PA instead created this sucession BS that only created more balance problems for no actual benefit....
