This is crazy...

So basically my idea is following, because it fits a bit to perfectly... :

At the beginning of BDO in NA/EU, Pearl Abyss needed a publisher (Kakao) to host this game, to do the infrastructure, support...etc.

Accodring to the contract between this 2 companies, Kakao was just a proxy here..., so we were maybe a bit save of this changes which are now happen.

"As long we (Kakao) host this game here in EU/NA this shop changes will not be implemented." ----maybe.....something like this....we will never know... .

So PA was just bottleneckt, of course they had a publisher who do the the stuff here....but they are also bound to the contract.

And now we had the 5th aniversery in EU/NA, and in the same time the service of Kakao ended, maybe because PA wanted not to extend it anymore.

When they do it by their own...they need to take over and install the complete infrastrcture of course, but they are also not bound with to proxy (kakao).

Basically...they can do now what they want. People could now say...."yeah PA is the Dev so they could also do this before and Kakao had also not right right to say anything about this changes"

..... well yeah maybe, if they put enough force to it and your contract partner is willed to do it because they dont want to lost their partner and maybe also some jobs....sure..... .

So it fits a bit to perfectly for me:

- The end of service of Kakao in EU/NA

- 5th anivery where people clamed down with a lot of extra shit from drop events, transition stuf, extra codes...and so on... .

- they changes in the shop which started only ONE WEEK after the "take over" of service from PA.... .

- People are getting no answears from support (you can see it when you browse this shitty implemented forum)

It is just an idea...and maybe it also sounds like conspiracy...but if you think about it....it is quit...strange... and smells fishy

Also like Vulpin said in the post above...the new class, and according to this the needed stuff for a new class.... it is for me a bit to obvious what PA try here... .

Also if you look at what PA own in South Korea ,cough internet cafas cough buy time slots to play games, an why they refuse to allow afk activities like fishing, horse leveling, cooking, and training dummies to be something that occurs while offline so don't have to leave your PC on overnight. Ya it cause PA banks on selling time slots in their internet cafas so people can do those all activities. This is why they won't change the above mechanic cause than they'd lose a source of income that let be honest they don't really need. But that the issue with PA they design all game mechanics around the idea of increasing revenue not improving the game.

That is the reason why there now limiting all character bound only item sales like they are right now. Cause they plan to shit out new classes each season to encourage players to make new characters thus encouraging sales on character bound items. They are literally pointless creating a problem an making the only fix for the problem to be a cash shop only item.

P.S side note why do you guys think most of the horse skills need to be trained separately from leveling the horse once they're learned, an can only be done by manually doing it your self? If you look in the cash shop under horse consumables you should be able to figure the answer out.

Althrough inventory ain't that big an issue atm, it was much worse in the past.

Also buying inventory slots from loyality was a waste even before. If you bought character slots instead, that gave much better inventory/loyality ratio, and even buying storage slots was better.

The only situation where buying loyality inventory slots did make sense if you wanted to afk fish.

I'm at 166 slots currently, and did not buy any with loyality or pearls, and the mayority is empty most of time.

It was much worse in the past, but with the addition of warehouse, if you manage it correctly, inventory ain't really will be an issue, even if you only have the free 62 from quests + logs.

Yeah this game is P2W, but inventory ain't that big deal.

This is a nerf only for the full on f2p players, and even then it's not that huge of a nerf and more of a sideways change. Brutally honest, PA has no reason to care for you as you don't affect their bottom line.

What this is is a buff to people who even spend money casually. I hope this isn't news for anyone, but the value you were getting from buying inventory slot from loyalty pre change was complete garbage. What this did is consolidate it to an amount that is worth your time, but you can still get more value buying the other items while spending pearls. 

Not only that, while the baseline "free" amount of inventory you get from questing isn't alot, it is definitely enough to get buy. Also they hand out inventory slot during event periods as well- I bought 1 inventory pack total, and my main character is almost full inventory from free slots.

He is just the village idiot version of a bdo white knight. Ignore him though sadly this crap forum does  not allow blocking which is exactly what needs do be done with him.

All right boys.  All you casuals and non investors can pack it up now.  Good luck enjoying the content with only a small fraction of the player remaining.  Who doesn't love logging into a DEAD game amirite?

My question is people are suprised at all ? This game has been pay  for this pay for that every sense launch day and people are suprised now and gets pissed now.  If your a new player here is a tip for you research the game before buying or playing read the forums ask people so you know what´s up.  Im not defending this bullshit it´s just I don´t give a fuck what Kako or pearl do anymore if they want to fuck up the game let them becuse they don´t give a shit what we think as long as there are som idiots spending mony. 

But I will say BDO has it´s Monetization bullshit but at least pearl abyss is not making you rent skills points for almost 50 euro a month or trying to sell you permanent skillpoint for 40 euro.  Like a certain mmo started to do. 

I mean renting skill point to new players is like hey if you pay us money monthly you can become level 50-70 but when you stop paying your going back to what ever level you where before that.

It's already been debunked that MMO's actually SURVIVE off a large player base REGARDLESS of their spending.  Especially pertaining to non subscription games.

No ones wants to play a dead game and to act like these people don't matter is wrong.  It's also wrong to assume they don't spend ANY money or have not in the past.

Your other points are completely wrong as well.  There is no silver lining here.  If you miss the release of a class you may permananetly lose extra slots and no it's not just sufficient to rely on the quests.

In addition NEW ITEMS ARE BEING RELEASED contantly.  And not just a few.  A mess of around ONE HUNDRED items where just released in the past few updates.

There simply isn't much room to store it all.  There are also functional issues with things like buying seeds, since they do not stack.  Even life skill requires several available slots and your inventory is ALWAYS at least 2 less than the maximum capacity to do things like opening, gathering, etc.

And what about when they start releasing lame events again with items that merge, but don't stack?

What if you want to do Marni Stones?

There is an easier way to settle it though.  If it wasn't an issue people wouldn't PAY TO FIX IT.

Your assumption that a large percentage of playerbase are full f2p is wrong. I'm actually willing to bet that the f2p players are already gone since they realise how miserable it is being f2p, and the remaining people at least spends money casually.

I also incorrectly assumed that you fully read the first sentence. Sorry, I didn't realise you didn't even completely read it. I said "full on f2p", not some "assumption that they don't spend ANY money or have not in the past.". If you don't know what I mean by full on f2p, I can clarify for you.

Permanently losing slots doesn't matter. if you keep playing the game the game will keep feeding you slots through events. 

Okay new items get released and that affects your inventory how? Spoiler it doesn't. you store it in a storage/ Central Market or it's completely useless to store. 

I also store 50 seeds on every single one of my characters, so yes you are right I don't have any slots left! Genius thinking, like it matters to have more than 10 slots open. Not only that, the only time having a massive amount of inventory space matters is in Behr, and fishing. Not being able to manage inventory =/= There is too little inventory.
