Every single game nowadays suffer from cheaters. BDO in not exception. Providing paid protecting to cheaters via hiding their identity not acceptable.
Either remove name conselment or remove entire outfit.

It's probably too late for this. But I agree wholeheartedly. Most stupid item ever introduced into BDO.

The ghillie suit is an ok item.

But it needs some tweaking.

When you have an item such as the ghillie active, you hide your name from other adventurers, but this comes in the form of a completely removed section in the HUD that REMOVES your name.

The Ghillie needs to rename your character to "Unknown Adventurer", or when you have negative karma; "Evil Adventurer".

Hiding name = supporting cheating.

Not against this suggestion, I do find the camo suit cool for being stealthy and stuff though. However, if the main reasoning is just because it hides people's names, to avoid a ban, there is something to understand.

There are mechanics in the game to make you able to see their name, such as flares, and also when you die, you can check your character journal, this shows Family name and Guild.

Thought, just in case you didn't think about this, this might be useful information, also you can still report these players, by writing a ticket telling the GM the place, time, and date the incident occurred, and this way they can check the logs for players in the area, if you died that is logged down, they can also find out who was near you, etc or review the gameplay.

So, if you suspect someone of fish botting, gathering botting, you could try flaring them, if you don't have a flare, write a ticket in, just saying where it was, at what time, and what you found suspicious, they can see who you were near at the time, and then find the name of the player that way.

If you suspected someone of speed hacking or something that gave an unfair advantage in PvP, and you died to them, you can check your journal and find out their name that way, or like I say report the incident and note the time, date, and location.

Hopefully, if you didn't know about this, you now do! ^^

I have a ghillie suit myself, but I agree.

I think BDO would be better if the ghillie suit never existed at all.

1 - it's genuinely unfair for the colorblind, no matter how I change settings, ghillie players are just so much harder to track without their nametags

2 - the posters above, reasoning about cheating/reporting - those arguments make sense too

Maybe send players with ghillie's a small refund and destroy the camo feature.

Maybe keep the anonymity but at least ALWAYS show a nameplate saying "Unknown adventurer"

Ghillies are a part of the game, and have been for a long time. They aren't the end of the world - but since this is the suggestion forum I do want to add my voice to the suggestions - I think it'd be cooler if the ghillie suits did not exist.

Personally I've always enjoyed the creative applications of the ghillie suit. I know it's essentially only ever been exploited, but the idea of crawling around in the bushes as a spy or launching guerilla-styled attacks from the sidelines during a node war is just awesome. If you add any kind of nametag it will certainly remove the possibility of that kind of thing, but in the end it all comes down to balance and what people actually want.

The one problem I know most people have always had since launch is the fact that it's gated behind a paywall. Regardless of any changes made to its functionality, I think it's long past time that they provided a way to obtain it through in-game means (unless they already have, just coming back after a few years so no idea).

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if they added a version of the suit that had an 'Unknown Adventurer' nametag on it and made it obtainable through in-game means, while keeping the current version with no nametag in the cash shop. I know it wouldn't really fix any of the above-mentioned problems, but it would at least feel better than how it's implemented now.

This is the best suggestion I've seen for Ghillie suits! 100% support this idea.

With this method, customers who bought Ghillie suits still have their name hidden. However, this removes the unfair competitive advantage that there currently is, with names being entirely removed from a player's HUD.
