First Impression on Drakania

On the Community Server from Drakania, an event was made for players to write their first impression and expectations about the class and I thought about sharing mine over here.

My first visual impression of the class was "Oh wow, this was definitely designed based on the Gen Z's taste" which I'm not mad at all, but her having to be an "Antithesis" for Guardian, who looks like 30 years old, Drakania looks like she's 19. Since their age is something we don't have information about, if this age difference is true, I'm really interest about how they're going to write about it in the lore - "Drakania, a young prodigy, etc, etc". While checking on the animations, I can already imagine that she'll be a fun class to play or even to watch in 1vX videos, which make me excited to see the rabams and the skills that will be transfered from the future Awakening to the Succession. She already has some dashes, but I really hope she gets a few more - They did talk the class was supposed to be fast and she has lightning skills, I'd really like to see a char with a huge sword moving in a lightning speed behind an enemy, like a shunpoo, in a fierce pose. Still talking about the animations, they showed a good variation of skills, I hope she's one of these classes that won't have a "we gotta do this combo over, and over and over" but a "okay, I can use these skills for now and save these other ones for when I need to combo again, I can have a bunch of variable combos with different utilities". Now the last part of this first visual impression, I gonna talk about the only thing that turned me off about the class: The VFX. Lightning and fire is a very very cool concept - One of the main reasons I mained Witch for years was because of these two elements and always whined that her awakening used earth instead of fire in her Awakening. Now that we have a female class (I only main female classes) with these two elements, I feel like fire was an afterthought. We've seen how big and extravagant fire effects can be in BDO, if we're going to compare the fire used from Drakania with even the Fire Ball from Witchards, Drakania's fire ain't even sufficient to light a campfire. The lightning looks like it comes straight out of a comic book which is very very cool, but with her main clothing being red and all that, I really wish I could see waaaaay more fire throughout the skills instead of a fire that looks like an afterthought and an effect that only appears when a skill is vanishing, etc - I wanted it to be as dominant as the lightning.

My expectations based on what we already know would be to fix the only thing I really don't think that was enough, which is the fire VFX. Of course there are a bunch of skills we probably haven't seen yet, so I can only base what I'm saying on what I've already seen.

As for awakening, if you guys already have a part of it done or not, I don't know, but if it was me thinking about what I would've done this this class' awakening design, I would pick my favorite part of her known kit and turn it up as much as I can. Which are the things that makes her closer to someone with dragon blood - The first thing that comes to my mind are her wings and the moment it's the most noticeable is when she uses the wings for what it's supposed to be used, which is flying. Would be nice and completely new if we had our very first class that would fight as an aerial character. Make so the jump dash don't bring the character back to the ground so she can spam it as long as her stamina allows and staying on the air at least two seconds if not moving after a dash. Some skills would be capable of being used while flying, some only when flying and some other would make the character jump. The class could be a mid-range class and maintain the lightning-fire thematic + dragon, where some skills would be her diving from the sky "like lightning" and attacking her enemies and some others being like a dragon's fire breath, making lightning fall from the sky as we've seen her doing in her succession/pre awakened video, making her something like Awk DK with melee, mid-ranged and ranged skills. As for weapon, I thought about something that could look like a dragon when added some VFX onto it, and this is what I thought: Example 1 or Example 2 (An elbow blade, like wyverns have their wings coming out of their elbows. Well the outfit they showed is rather meh, hope she get's an actually viable one.
