Magic crystals break from field bosses?

I know they can break from World Bosses.
I know they don't from like scolls or rifts cause they tell you that on the info window about the scolls.
But what about field bosses? I googled it, but I'm only finding answers for the world, scroll, and rift bosses.

Yes, they break from field bosses. Normally, the only bosses without death penalties are the dark rift bosses, though there are a few exceptions like Vell.

world boss yes, scroll summon no. So you can do your awakened daily/weekly on main but make a boss alt for world boss, otherwise you're gonna have no crystals pretty quick.
more than having a char near boss ready ASAP crystals is the reason for boss alts.
EDIT: IDK about relic/book/scroll summon bosses, but who would die to azar echatrandom that?
