Difference between red and orange dots on minimap?

Okay so, just wondering what the difference between orange and red is supposed to be?
I know yellow is for quest target
Just outside grana, the boar is a red dot, S rank.
The weasel is orange dot, also S rank.
So apparently its not knowledge related, however they're both passive mobs so...
What's the difference?? XD
Edit: Got picture, enlarged 200% so you can actually SEE it XD
The white/beige-ish is tracking target from Knowledge, Yellow is quest...

Good question now that you bring it up. A long time ago there used to be a page somewhere that explained all the mini map colors and icons, but can't find it now, and probably outdated anyway.

The orange dots are hunting targets if I recall correctly.

Hunting mobs have a different ICON all together. So no it's not this.

Added a picture to it, the knowledge tracker gives a white/beige-ish color

orange mobs are quest targets. killing those mobs will progress one or several of your quests

Yellow dot= Quest
Orange dot= Neutral mob
Red dot=Hostile mob
New white(-ish) dot= Knowledge track

Guys this is in the middle of Ronaros, they're all hostile lmao...
And that doesnt explain why the boars were red just outside Grana as well (those are neutral, not hostile).

Another thing I noticed is that boss (and maybe elite/violent?) show up as a larger red dot than the normal mobs.
