dont forget u can place cannons in trees where its very hard for enemies to kill them.

and as usual, biggest exploit of bdo pvp is to play fotm that devs accidentally overtuned. u know their balance updates are slow like third ountry trin companies so ull have maybe even months of fun before they  "fix" it. if they even fix it and not just tap it VERY gently with balance hammer.

This suuuuuucks. I really really really really want to play.

Game so pretty, moves so pretty and satisfactory, but technicalities are beyond bizzare. And it's not like they need to straight up fix it, just make some workaround, use some creativity and resourcefulness.

Not so much that it’s difficult, but expensive to put the team on it. 

They can separate the animation from mechanics/functions to a much greater level now, Especially since they dont have to be critically dependent and multi threading is standard now. The game was design when it was not so standard.

if it was updated;SYou could still run your 400 fps hacked BDO, but you can now cap the fuctions as they are seporate (not containd in the main render loop). Very doable,not realy difficult... Time taking and costly, yes

To update the engine, rebuilt, is very fesable /doable ‘easy’ but it’s a huge cost.

While people are still player with what we got, it would be bad businesses to waste cash. It will get fixed when there is real competition for BDO… Till then we will get spin

but hay, lets be truthful here (for once) J's not gonna say at the ball... "our engine is out of date and we will updated it when we hit the cost benafit tipping point."

Real world example?

Buying a house, 2 terms

1. It’s difficult to buy a house because I can’t afford it. (BDO Actual positions)
2. It’s difficult to buy a house because I don’t know how. (BDO attempted public image)

1 – This is incorrect, it may be difficult to save up the money and that’s where the difficulty stops. The process of buying the house may be really easy, can even ask for assistance (estate agents). But will you put in the time to earn the cash?

2- an actual limitation prevents or slows your progress. You have hit a real difficulty (direcly connected to the process) that requires you to overcome it to take the next step (maybe you don’t know how to fill out forms. In time you hope to overcome/learn a solution.

i bought a new pc and i can play most content in 300 fps(i legit cap it, could be more :D ) in 1440p now beside really grouped mass scale pvp where fps do tank towards lwoer numbers in low settings but still very comfortable experience. 

the advantage this alone gives you (and even more on right class that can abuse it) is actually disgusting. 

i mean u can do this by spamming map button in some skills. 3rd party software my ass. game legit allows it itself via stupid stuff that plummets fps.

also, they basically allow u to "hotkey" esc esc in new menu for easier pvp usage. its actual idiocy that devs allow some things and even enable them.

also there is wonderful issue of some classes being able to go straight into iframe skills (or grabs)from the floor while some dont get that option.

Should a DEV read this. I just don't get it, people love to compete and this is most buggy most dysfunctional most imbalanced and unfair PvP game engine/mechanics currently out there.

It's not like PA can't update the game well. Their QOL updates are superb and spot on.

Yet nothing is being done about PvP, the number of exploits only ever increasing. And unsuprisingly less people do pvp or play at all. Me amongst them.

Sorting out the frame DPS issues is also good for a lot of people using it right now.

Some do it because that’s all they have, some are using it because they feel forced too, in order to compete. I thought this game was Black desert ‘remastered’? Not what we see, is it PA? apart from a few streamers and offical events where you cap the game to 60 frames. Even in pve re mastered can be an issues.

If the physics where separate for render frames, then no one with a computer that can hit the system FPS caps need worry. They can play BDO in re mastered in the knowledge that it doesn’t matter what anyone else is rocking hard where wise, they are not getting past a hard physicals frame cap (this is separate from render fames)

There are games that do all critical physic server side, but given some of the hacks and workaround we have seen in BDO, I would guess a good amount of it is still off loaded client side  (cheaper, faster, more vulnerable to user modification)

the dropping of dx9 in dev notes gives me hope that they are updating , moving and removing old calls.
