In 2021 Ball they was talking about FPS issues on console not PC, question was about FPS drops on consoles, where game capped at 60 frames, they say nothing about 300+ FPS <any class> doing tripple damage with same skill as at 60FPS.
Can you please explain hard part in enforcing Vsync? Not even FPS caps (which they failed), just shut off game if FPS above monitor refresh rate game have Vsync on by default, you need to use 3rd party programm to bypass Vsync, so you pretty much aware of what you doing when you intentionally uncapping FPS.
And I'm glad it was mentioned but the bottom line is this has been in the game since launch which was years ago. It's obvious it's been on the back burner and has not been a priority of the team when it should be.
It's like playing a first person shooter game and having each bullet you fire deal more damage then your opponent because thier fps is higher. On top of that that player doing more damage also is faster in mobility and how fast they do things on the map.
There can't be any balance until this is fixed.

They did indeeded mention the issue on PC, and they said that they are working on somekind of fix for that in one of those balls, tho as we see nothing happened, probably was jut a PR statment. It's not worth the effort to rewrite the engine for a small minority on a finished product.
Also they still can get monitor up to 390hz, so even if they would do enforce vsync, there would be still way to exploit

I'm like dead sure FPS question was " On console there is FPS drops below 30FPS and players have disadvantages in PVP", "the fix" they did (took them less than a week i think) was like limiting frames to 30 or what ever its was and its was instantly removed next day because you could not gathering comfortly ( hell, removing fix that supose to fix PVP because someone can't gather meat make total sence)
390hz monitor cost money, good amount of money, and you need god tier rig for it, yes there will be exploiters, like 10-100 players, not 90% like nowadays, you literratelly forced to play optimal crap or you getting destroyed by other players that not even rendered on your screen
Ofc i understand they not gonna rewrite their engine, but i'm fail to understand why they don't check for Vsync before game start ( once again you can't turn off Vsync with game settings, its On.)
To me personaly, I was never bothered that you can make 8 seconds long combo 0.3 seconds faster by uping your FPS.
What bothered me immensely is the desync and how we found out it's related to FPS as well. I had to ditch my Ninja, because iframe classes are literally dead if not played at this advantageous high FPS low details speeds.
To put it in perspective, we had fight off with 60 FPS against 250 FPS. I was getting stunned with skills going off cooldown but not cast or even thought I have my SA icon up, all the freakin time.
And we tried it on several settings, I turned off remaster and pop up to 180 FPS. Still was getting SA stunned although not all the time as in previous case, it still happened ocasionaly. Really the only way to fight this off was to take down all details for maximum FPS and speed. And the desync was between gone and extremely rare. Now now you don't have to remind me desync is ping related, well clearly this is more complex issue than just that of the ping.
I remember that, they said that when they tried to fix it it ended up nearly completely destroying the entire game. I can't imagine how much of a headache it is to figure that one out but BDO isn't unique in this regard, a lot of games end up in the FPS = DPS bracket by accident.
I mean, players are allowed to do this to gain FPS=DPS advantage using Nvidia Profile Inspector. Optimization mode works fine for me for node war and GVG. RBF, grinding, I just leave it at remastered with FSR on and game is fine for me.
Oh god, I don't remember games ever looking this bad. Is that michael jackson? lol I'd rather play at 60FPS with pretty characters and lose than play a game like this and win. This is just awful. Nvidia, what have you done???
@cadry how about you have them Remove mouse click to move while you are at it as this is just as bad for gameplay combined with the fps exploit its strait aweful gameplay and looks equally as bad on screen

Would love to know what other game your referring to. No game thats successful even slightly has damage tied to frame rate. Fps should give you an advantage in fluidity it should NEVER increase your overall damage output nor decrease animation times.
If I want to play in remastered mode with max settings I should not get less damage or less speed on skills compared to someone with higher fps.
TLDR ; really hard to fix = too expensive to fix.

Don't know, don't really care enough to look it up. I've seen them in passing from time to time. It happens. Old school games used to use CPU clock speed like Command and Conquer and if you could play it today on your computer, the game would probably be over in a few seconds. Meaning the faster your computer, the faster the game would play. Pretty funny and maybe not the exact same scenario, it's not something that could have been easily be fixed. 144Hz monitors at the time of BDO's release weren't commonplace. You could get them or was it 120Hz? but they were mainly for stereoscopic movies and games.
They tried to fix it, they broke the game even further and decided to either trash the idea or try it again a different way. Sadly that is the state of the game and there's nothing we can do about it. Thankfully it's not the most gamebreaking feature, FPS = DPS is nothing compared to the desync / latency in everything. I think if they had budget to fix one or the other I would vote for the desync / latency issue instead. Unfortunately when you pair both issues it creates a really bad multiplayer experience. Maybe they will announce at CalpheON that they fixed the issue finally? We'll find out, don't hold your breath though.
