You can see in solare how the game would be if DP was stronger, and it's 10 times more unbalanced than the normal game.

Sure go for it if you're going to REALLY try balancing the game at the same time (not 1 year later), but I know pearl abyss won't do that so this is a terrible suggestion

as much as i hate to admit it, if they overtune dp we will have omega cancer gauntlet/shield meta rampaging around. it has to be done very precisely or we gonna have total crapstorm on out hands. and since we all know how much they suck at finetuning or balancing in general..... im not inclined to trust them to do this right.

Doesn't that shine a necessary limelight on the classes that need those kind of downwards adjustments DP wise though? Isn't that a good thing? Is that a meta that would allowed to sit for long if "everyone else is having a better time, except when vs x y and z characters: lets review?"

main counter to "x class will accel" has been met with "well x class should also be changed". should get a list going for classes that needs to be changed for this suggestion lol, as right now its looking like every single class has to be changed which makes this a not very good suggestion.

The initial post is about DP mattering, which does mean a change for all classes. But that's gonna mean more to some classes over others. 

We've already mentioned that you can't just extend fights with across the board dp buffs because some classes really wouldn't have a very good time as they lack the tools for more protracted fights.

That's the thing with perpetually overtuning the same classes over and over. Then it's *shocked pikachu face* when realising other classes aren't happy about that and giving into ridiculous power creep, leading to a one-shot meta that shits all over the lauded combat that brought us here in the first place. It's a lot of work and time to address the wrongs that have propagated over time.

exactly so this entire post wouldn't matter if they just balance the game and adjust damage output. if the post basically requires rebalancing of all classes then the suggestion itself is useless as it can most likely be included as part of the balance patch itself.

already included in this post is that we have to adjust musa/high movement and iframe classes because if u can't kill them in 1 combo then that's a problem. we have to also adjust strong shield and gauntlet, as well as sa block classes to an extent becuase they would be too strong. all in all, there really isn't any class left that this can even affect.

you can't give one half of the class any dp because they would be unkillable as they'll just run away, and you can't give the other half any dp because they would be unkillable because of innate tankiness. 

also, you all are saying 1 shot meta not being fun but i really can't see a tank meta be any fun either, especially since it's starting to sound more and more like gear diff is going to be even more pronounced.

I agree that there's too much damage in the game, I've been focused on dp because that's the topic, but like you said, an alternative (and tbh better) solution is reducing damage modifiers as it prevents the prior mentioned risks of giga powerful dp.

And yeah, old classes getting new skills was great, but I think damage wise things were healthier pre reworks.

As a professional DP meme u guys are basically arguing over the half cup full or the empty half cup. I don't really get it but a cups a cup, no matter what you do with it.

It realy needs a rework. Even if means to rework CCs. For sure hp potions should not work when you are CCd. But DP atm is joke.
