Yes!  I want to explore that island castle in Junaid River, south Mediah!!!

And as Entropoid suggested, I'll propose here my coming to peace with the death of Port Ratt, as I layed out in my thread on the importance of immersion in a game of BDO's caliber:

So, a great earthquake strikes the eastern continent, and Port Ratt crumbles into the sea.  Word spreads far and wide, and adventurers come by the score, to see the new place, just set up to accomadate their arrival.  It is simple and plain because it was quickly built for the adventures to come and be recieved by the east, now open to all.  Perhaps some day in the future, a path to the sunken port will be found for another mystical underwater adventure, and perhaps after the passage of time, Nampo Harbor will bloom into a beautiful, mystical place, befitting the gateway to the East.... which is actually the West...(I REALLY love that the east and west are reversed in this game!  So cool!)

so much space exists in the eastern continent they could have it as a massive landslide that caused fires and destroyed port ratt since they are also leveling the mountain and eventually Port ratt could be rebuilt in another location somewhere else on the eastern continent. Personally I would prefer this over an earthquake/ sunken scenario since they are literally removing the entire mountain

I generally don't agree with some people here in the forums.

BUT with this post I 100% agree.

I had imagined that one day with this new region that crossing those gates to finally see what is beyond is part of the adventure.

It took me hours to get there a long time ago and of course like some of us getting stuck out there do to a escape then waiting for a guildmate to come get you.

Would be sad to see Port Rat in its current state dissappear.

I realize there is change but the magnus already destroyed the sea battles that could of been with everyone trying to get to Ratt for the new gear. So many things changing for the worse and I think this def would be a really bad decision.

So let's keep Ratt like it is.

That would have been epic.

if this has to go, can the current port ratt be copy and pasted into a re-enterable instance within magnus instead of completely thrown away?

It's been 4 years since I landed in Port Ratt, I've been playing for 6 years, I'm GM in one of the oldest guilds in BDO, 4 years waiting to enter that Mystical city, we older ones have already had to accept the drastic changes, which have made BDO easier, compared to its debut. Now in a few hours you reach levels to say the least absurd, just for a matter of Marketing. Now you want to replace Port Ratt with a similar larger copy of Ancado Inner Harbor!? And when you open in the future the territory that has been seen overseas from Ancado for years, will you also change that Port!? Be careful P.A. so you do not consider the Magic of BDO's locations, which for years have been the known continents and hopes of many many players. Port Ratt should be kept Nampo Harbor placed elsewhere.

Thanks.

I was really excited about Port Ratt being expanded but this... Nampo Harbor looks a bit like everywhere else, aesthetics are underwhelming. Really hope PA will back down on this.

The problem is with the current port ratt is that it's not designed for much more then the docks. Like you can't fit a big city like it suppose to be in that area. I get why they expanded it out. Kinda funny that people are fighting for this tbh cause odyette lore change significantly when the original name of thornwood was thornbush.  Personally I like Nanpo a lot more cause its more realistic. Let's be real you would not like to explore port ratt as is cause its jammed together to look more impressive then what it is. A bigger city is needed. Maybe keep some of the architecture that people really like but make the place bigger., It also need a lot room in general that nanpo provides the docks are tiny and collision with the docks is bad cause of how small the docks are.

Fair enough, but perhaps a city could be built on a plateu, just up the river?  Grana is similarly situated, with Grandiha being somewhat of a port downstream.  The issue at hand is that PA is being like the real world.  Sacrificing magic, mystery and appeal for convenience and functionality.  This is a game, where we seek to escape reality for a bit.  Not too much, mind you, as all fantasy must be 99% reality or it becomes a mental trip, but here we're dealing with many players whose dreams and anitcipations are being dashed for........ what purpose now?  EASIER development?  Mediocity is founded on ease and convenience.

Dear Developers:

I'd like to play a GREAT, AWESOME game.  That's going to take a little work and creativity.  I hope I'm not asking for too much.  I mean, I'm only basing my expectations on what's been done the first 7 of 8 years of this game's existence.  This last year........ I'm starting to get a little worried.  Please fix!  Thanks!

So much has been said about this and after years of going to Port Ratt for a few quests or stopping by to unload I am unable to count the number of times thinking I cant wait until they finish this area.  As I get older each year I find I hate change more. The sea going community has asked for LONG periods of time to fix the existing bugs as have been noted in other posts and each week we are disappointed to find they still exist. Maybe Port Ratt is the cause of all the bugs and it sucks any new content for oceans up like a whirlpool. My fear is we will get a new area with old ocean content or lack there of. I am sure we will see new costumes and other petty items in the pearl shop though.  Come on, how hard is it to either put loot on Margoria Ghost Ships or just delete them? They are a useless waste of content as they are at this point.

If you can delete a whole town that folks have looked forward to seeing finished why cant they do something simple.  Maybe move Port Ratt down the coast and say there was a massive land mass event that shifted its position? LOL Anything to save content that many have been looking forward to would help IMHO. The journey to get to Port Ratt in a fishing boat the very first time is something many folks will not forget.

I got sunk by the Goldmont Pirates when I tried going by fishing boat!  It was a special challenge.  I then used Bartali's Sailboat, and though it was slow going, I got there.  But again, it was indeed an unforgettable experience.  And what awaited me, Port Ratt, was WORTH it!!!
