The decision to straight out remove old RBF was terrible it was only way to get on demand PvP practice in medium size scenario.
The Issue
New rbf is a game mode completely removed from actuall bdo pvp while it was the most convenient tool to get pvp practice.
There is no point in practicing in environment that is not the same as core game.
Similar issue happened with the bonus hp in sieges it essentially splits the pvp modes and communities.
Example: Im not gonna play RBF because I dont see how it benefits my ability to play the 'real' game and it will give me bad habits like overextending and playing to greedy abusing the extra tankiness.
Example 2: Im not gonna play siege because Im an RBF only player and I dont know how to play the 'real' game.
Solution
Reverse the change or make x amount of rbf channels not have the extra DR.
Having several environments, one with easier rules, is good. I'd like both kinds of rbf, actually. One with tougher rules also should give a bit better rewards, both from winning and losing.
Well IDK, I see most people oneshoting the other on RBF anyway, so even fi there is soem extra DR, that's barely noticable in msot cases.
never really noticed either. :P
RBF are not for training. There is no link with Open pvp and nodes war on the accumulation of RBF points.
The rules don't have to be the same.
And I hope that the rules will be more diversified in future RBFs. Small ball that gives BSR or small stat or other gimmick feature for fun. ;D
Also its would be good if a Suggestion post are in the righ forum categorie ;D.
I'd love to have a more "controlled" PvP environnement, with gear equilization for more competitive PvP. Right now I can't find that anywhere in the game.
There is an RBF with gear score cap it never attracted any interest though basically died first day after release. Equalization of gear doesnt work as people think it would because classes have effectiveness curve that corelates with gear score.
For example 600 gearscore tamer will dominate the bracket but 700gs tamer will fall behind. It would be nice if the game was reasonably balanced but it simply isnt.
