The limitation should be removed, there's no reason not to be able to, we already have fast travel, just let us use our dream horses on season.

I cant agree with you here.

The season character experience should be one that is gated and protected, for new players. If you asked me, too much of the world is immediately accessible to season characters already. The whole concept of having them in the game is to better establish new players into the complex world of BDO.

If anything, PA needs to create new ways to ease new players into the game to understand the fundamentals piece by piece. Season characters should have even more limitations IMO.

I know this post is going to be unpopular, but the truth is hard to swallow.

Opinion =/= truth.

On some level I agree with you, the game is often overwhelming when people start.

However, regardless of what PA should or should not do to restrict new players or not, the fact is, every player plays differently and I while some get overwhelmed, others get a grasp on things very quickly. I have known several new players who started playing, learned how to make a tier 9 and got a bit lucky, but then needed a new mount or grauduate because they could not use their tier 9 anymore.

What's more, season characters also cannot get on the back of a doom. If you want to taxi a season character but have a tier 9, you're both out of luck. And in my opinion, Magnus cost is pretty steep, especially for a new player, assuming they have done the quest to begin with. It's much easier to taxi them for free if you can.

Now the main reason I was looking for a topic like this: the current season focuses on training. I haven't read full notes yet but I was told there has not been a change to make T9 mountable by season characters, but they encourage training this season and give away T9 materials. New players will 100% get the wrong idea. Awaken a Tier 9, then not be able to ride it and feel forced to get a new mount or graduate when they dont want to yet.

I am in full agreement that season characters should be able to ride on tier 9. Especially as passenger and especially now that this season focuses on training and gives us tier 9 mats. It makes 0 sense at this point to keep the restriction in my opinion.

Two seaters exist that are not doom.

A courser can get a person around as fast as a dream horse.  Only missing a few things (fast desert travel, gliding, extra instant accel/pvp, a couple of 'nice to have' skills).  Season experience without those is more 'genuine'.

But to have a season focused on awakening a courser and then not let you ride it - that would suck.  Hopefully an exception is made for a T9 made in season, by a season character, using the season starter - ? Actually, I'm not sure that process can get locked down to just a season character, so it's kind of meaningless, no real suckage, and the restrictions stand.

Besides, season is a kind of 'challenge', however weak it may be.  There's a bigger impact from disallowing mastery items.

At the same time, season is 'easy mode' to starting out.  T9s are not 'starting out' material.

Eh, I guess I don't care that much.  I'm fine with my old T8 for seasons.  And at level 61 and climbing I can leave it almost anywhere.  Which is a good thing, now that we have that 'feature' that likes to teleport mounts into the middle of mobs, among other things
