Hello good people of BDO.

I am new to the game, on my second day. So far I could not find a session to enter a character bio. I thought it was one but I could only find the small "introduce yourself" field under 'My Information". But because I don't want to waste the time spent writing, I am posting my Corsair bio here:

Joli Rouge’s biography is peppered with myths and legends, but if certain tales about her are true, she was one of the first and first Valencian women to try her hand at piracy. As the story goes, Rouge was a Valencian native who ran away from home as a teen, she settled in Velia and tried to scrape out a living, but constant money problems eventually led them to turn to a life of crime. In 1781, the Rouge procured a small boat, teamed with a few low-life mariners, and began preying on ships off the coast of Epheria. Their strategy was as ingenious as it was brutal. Whenever a storm passed through the region, the buccaneers would dress their boat up to look like they had been ravaged by rough seas. The comely Rachel would then stand on the deck and plead for aid from passing ships. When the unsuspecting rescuers came near, they were promptly boarded, robbed, and murdered.

Rouge’s siren song may have lured as many as a dozen ships to their doom, but her luck ran out in 1782 when a real storm destroyed her boat and killed her crew. She survives the shipwreck and overcoming her despair, she fetches arms, tools, and other supplies from the ship before it breaks apart and sinks. She builds a fenced-in habitat near a cave that she excavates. She also adopts a small parrot that she names Rosa. While excavating inside her cave she discovered a pass to an ancient treasure chest, inside it she found a Serenaca and a Mareca.

More days pass and Rouge discovers cannibals Imps, who occasionally visit the island to kill and eat kidnaped kids. She engages in combat to kill them for committing such an abomination, but later realizes she has been cursed by the content of the chest she found when strange forces coming from those items possess her during the fight obliterating her cannibal foes.

She continued her fishing and trading but was later arrested in 1789 for her past crimes. While in prison, she penned a confession admitting to “Stealing, lying, disobedience to parents, and almost every other sin a person could commit, except murder.” Unfortunately for the Velian people, the mea culpa was not enough to sway the authorities. On October 8, a few days before her execution she attacks some guards when trying to escape when mystical siren powers possessing her body make her sing invocating sea power that broke the walls of the prison. Days later she awakes washed on a beach on Lema Island.

Passed a couple of years Joli Rouge learned how to better control her cursed Siren powers. She now dedicates her life to surviving through fishing and trading while trying to rebuild her life seeking a second chance.
