Title: PvE iFrame Changes - Sorc
Family Name:
Mira

Region (NA/EU): NA

Suggestion/Comments:

With the recent changes to PvE iframes, a multitude of classes received new PvE iframes/reworked onto existing skills. Overall, this is very healthy for the direction that is being prepared for, with the new region.

However, with the recent changes, sorc had the removal of her awaken PvE iframe, while succession continues to have major stamina consumption on usage. Compared to a large multitude of classes, the addition of PvE iframes were added to skills that have significantly lower stamina usage and last for the full 1 second upon usage of their skills.

Sorc, however, now has to use her native iframes (which is Nightcrow/Flow: Nightcrow, shift + a directional key), as her only PvE iframe. While this might be the intent of PA making this change, it is problematic, as written below.

The problem with this is, it's create a massive imbalance/issue that pulls her closer to the bottom of PvE iframing, as her native iframe consumes 250 stamina. Other classes don't have this high of stamina usage on some of their PvE iframes, with some even having more than 1 skill to iframe with.

Awaken sorc's previous lateral iframe used to only consume 100 stamina. Now she is essentially nerfed down to use 2.5x that amount.

This was done via Scythe Training (input was A OR D + LMB).
This was an extremely important PvE iframe that helped a lot with high end spots + when learning spots, that didn't result in having to run away/drag mobs away, while giving some breathing room to survive/reposition slightly.

The other issue is the scaling of cast speed/animation timings of the iframe. Different classes have different skills that allow the full 1 second timing of the iframe to be leverage. As sorc continues to ramp up with ticks/timing on casting speed, the timing length of the iframe can sometimes be marinally shorter than the full 1 second.

Lastly, our iframe is used sometimes for certain skill chaining/cancelling, which creates an issue of double dipping into our stamina pool, for both the iframe usage in PvE, but also the need to use certain cancels.

Solution:
- Revert the pve iframe back for awakening

- Looking into adding an additional PvE only iframe on selective movement skills, similar to other classes (could be things like rushing crow, dark split, etc). This isn't necessary but would be welcoming, especially for succession.

Thanks

Sounds like a reasonable change.

Anyway, if you decide you can stay in your iframes almost as long as you want. If you need to dodge, you can do it simply.

From any other normally protection-balanced class this request seems very humorous. Dodge means it should be used only for "dodge", not to stay permanently invincible. Get into reality without a full-time iframe, I'd say.

Overall, this change of PvE-only protections is not the best way to go, IMO.

Just a reminder that the supposed PvE iframes have heavily changed PvP balance specifically around summoned entities...

PA has to fix that first and foremost, before they add more/revert to previous ones without removing the new iframes.

they need to change summoned objects to be PVP damage formulas, why are they even PVE to begin with, its serious oversight.

are u expecting sorcs to be happy with anything other than half a minute of perma iframe capability? :D

Funny how as a Succ Sorc (D Tier class in pvp at best), I find sorc awa one of the easiest classes to duel against, yet the entire community can't stop QQ-ing about this class day and night. I bet it has nothing to do with the information (a)symmetry and actually knowing the animations (and what protections they offer) of other classes..

/s I guess Sorc Awa is so OP which is why the top players in AoS were all sorcs and not maegus, musas, sages, zerks, strokers, mystics, and casters!

Yes. Please just change it back to how it was.
