Yeah new player experience is trash, altrough spaming R on the main questline takes insignificant (not even 1%) of the time spent on bdo, so if this is a deal breaker for someone then he doesn't bellong here.

Also it's not unique for bdo, in most mmo you can't really do the main questline with friends more than in bdo.

Maybe try joining oluns discord and doing the group content thats available then.

there's plenty of group stuff in the game. Peoiple just dont want to do it because its usually better to grind solo.

Sometimes though ill take a hit to my own silver per hour to grind with a friend.

dunno why devs are basically ignoring this content so much.

In a game that used to thrive on conflict over resource scarcity, people interested exclusively in pve content would very much struggle to find things to do outside of dungeons and other instanced activities that have been removed from the game (Altar of Blood) or kept utterly pointless (Old Moon Catch-up Racing).

So, what would you as a dev do?

Slowly shift towards non-competitive coop pve and alienate most of your loyal player base? With BDO, that would probably mean more instanced content or grind spots like Murrowak's.

Or maybe crank up the conflict (like they, apparently, unwillingly did with the now fixed Saunils drops)? Add spots with 1 rotation and very enticing drops and then watch the world burn?

Oooor... maybe just shaft everyone and just create a new region with no grind spots, no group content and just a boss grind with no loot except for an rng-based reward once per season?

Rant over, I think they could pull off - if they wanted - something that pleases everyone. Pick up on Choice's suggestion and make RBF more attractive, reopen Altar and maybe add more group dungeons and/or instanced through Magnus that have us explore the world's past events or something. Grind spots are, apparently, a very tough nut to crack for PA, struggling to balance risk vs reward for the better part of a decade, so I wouldn't want more of those, probably (granted, as Cat and someone else said, you can team up with a friend to grind a solo spot, trading income for company).

I want more meaningful non forced group activities in the game.  Miruwak is the best example of this, yeah you can solo it, but you can also plan to have multiple people be on one server to get the boss to spawn faster, then you all get better loot cause the boss spawned and it was also stronger due to more people being there.  

Things like the Oluns I absoultely dispise, the only way to grind for the ring piece is to do oluns, Oluns is not really something that is soloable with any degree of efficency, then if you do have a group, you end up with the issue that only 1 group can be on a server due to lack of rotations.  I want to be able to see more white dots on my Mini map and go, oh hey great this will help out or at the very least not hinder my progression at all.

Or there are places like the Dungeon, you can only do it once a week, you have to get a dedicated group, if you do not have exactly 5 people someone or everyone gets shafted.  The party finder in BDO is a joke.

Given the amount of time people have been wanting for there to be like ..actual dungeons where you and your homies just go into the dungeon and kills mobs and bosses and stuff. This shit isnt rocket science. The community has been asking for this for a billion years and they still refuse to add it to the game.

At this point I think there must be some sort of backend limitation. Or they cant make the AI behave in a way that isnt obviously retarded and make the dungeons anything other than queing up for an instanced loot pinata. Im convinced theyre never going to add this stuff. even the dungeons they released are just completely unenjoyable trashcans. They dont know how to provide this content and players that desperately want this stuff should just seek it in titles where instanced group play is the focus.

Isn't that just Miruwak?  They could easily add 2, 3, 4, and 5 man Miruwak style dungeons where when you clear a room you move onto the next until you finally reach the final boss.

The only problem I see with bosses is that they do not have one necessary thing, that is the "boss loot" that other bosses in other games have.  In WoW for example you have to do a boss to get your end game gear, in BDO you don't get your end game stuff from bosses you enhance it.  I don't see a realistic way other than FG items to make bosses of dungeons to be worthwhile doing.

The group content I want is trading. Tired of merching items I never will need that other people can use, like courser mats. Why can't we trade! There has to be a way by now.

I'd also like open world pvp to occur somewhere that is MEANINGFUL. That would be the group content I want, even tho pvp is imbalanced due to gear, would still be fun.

I also would like to see group crafting, like combining a group of people to make a work shop, make the work shop index-able and then maybe even give a little discount against CM :D Let the economy happen.
