Oh, great, now you made me search...
I do enjoy it, only too bad that they changed some things. When BDO was launched and you created a char then, you saw a movie about ancients, black spirits and how a certain town was struck. Since they reworked the whole balenos questline that movie is gone as well.
Like the story of the Bartali family and how they are related to the former kingdom of Cron. Thougn it's a bit unclear how big that kingdom was. Was it the whole of Balenos? And how did balenos got it's name. From Serendia i know it was once a kingdom of it's own, before crucio domongatt submit to Calpheon, despite the victory of Cliff over at the watchtower.
Also interesting is the story of Illezra, the white witch. On how she was found outside Tarif when she was a little girl, to later turn out to be the one behind the three days of darkness. But why does she have the same marks as you see on the ancients or is that because of the combined black spirits which she bound.
Story of Valencia is not fully told, which is too bad. You get some pieces of it, you learn a bit about the history, but not about why some things occurred. What is the story of Aakman for example. They were banished, but why. Though the added Eternal Winter does tell a bit about the mother of the current king and his brothers and sister, cause it's her homeland.
Story of kamasylvia is a bit of a sad one. Drieghan is a bit weird.
The story of BDO's Lore - its to big, way to big to be cutscened and voiced as result everyone who not into lore just trying to skip it, ironically people who skipped lore crying about unskipable parts and at lack of lore as same time.
By itself BDO's lore is very decent, rewriting it midfly ( as BDO's lore not finished) ruining connections so its very hard to keep it linear.
so does it mean later all our characters can talk, or it is only for wosa and maegu ?
and why drakania and guardian didnt have same funny progression like wosa and maegu ?
and why the text are only in best korea ?

It could be that the team are trying new ideas.
I can say that my favorite characters in the story so far are kind of typical. The black spirit, Illezra, Jordine, Wuju and Eileen. I enjoy their personalities and background stories a lot.
I usually enjoy the story in most games, or at least I try to follow it. Not here.
I tried, though. But it's one of the worst I've ever had the missfortune to stumble upon, and I also inadvertently watched "Twilight" with no idea what it was about. Even Lost Ark story doesn't feel this bad.
Honestly, some "crossroads" feel like an afterthought added to the game without consideration for story consistency. Some shit happens, you make a choice, something entirely unrelated happens, then somehow you kinda get back to the prior story and everyone expects you to know what happened while you were doing something else.
It starts really, really bad right from the start, though. The whole "red nose" quest is cringeworthy from the get go. It's very poorly written (I've read better fanfics from teenagers), and even more poorly executed. Like, you chose to NOT work for that unsufferable princess, because of course you do not want to have anything to do with that bitch, and everyone hates your guts EVEN AFTER YOU SAVED THEIR COLLECTIVE ARSES. And then the same bitch is the perfect caricature of an enamored proncess for the oh-so-dark-and-mysterious-but-so-gorgeous prince who happens to be a dark sorcerer, because of course he is. It's not just very poorly written it also makes use of every single possible lame cliché you can get in fantasy, and then some.
Now I'm in the "spam R" tribe. Maybe some snippets are actually good, but I'm not taking chances. The few brain cells I still have mostly intact wouldn't survive the encounter with more of that crap.
