Why is playing for the rewards a bad thing? The rewards are less s/hr than literally low gear tuvala spots. Nothing wrong with being able to make money from it and enjoy it.

Several players liked it, but others not.

I tried to get into this Shadow Arena one or two times, but I ended up absolutely despising it. As a whole I despise the battle royale genre personally. And no. I am not against PvP.

Shadow Arena also had unique skills only available for that game. I think they should consider adding those skills to BDO as well. At least they can re-use assets and animations. Shai has so few attacks it's pitiful but Shadow Arena had additional attacks which could be used and perhaps modified for CC or something. I'm not sure if every class had unique skills to SA but it would be nice if they could translate them over.

The discussion so far:

You can't lable it as a "main reason" mate. yes, SA did gave very good rewards as it was just as good as PVE. The balance was good, but if it offered no purpose beside just a normal game-mode, people would still play it alot but because of rewards and help in gear progression it became even more fun & important. There was no doubt of wasting time when playing SA so players went all in.

Like i said clearly, Standalone SA was completely different from the original SA, It had lost all those feeling we get from it (thrilling, sense of not knowing, ...). 

Everyone who loves PVE should just be able to PVE and progress their gear; Everyone who loves PVP should just be able to PVP and pogress their gear. It's a balance all BDO PVP'ers would love to have. It is true that mostly it's about rewards and it stands true in PVE too, so many grind spots but people chose to grind in 1 - 2 spots only cause one gives better silver/h then the other so for them, grinding in other place is ultimately a waste of time.

if PA does bring back shadow Arena then yes, PVP players will rather play shadow arena most of the time then to sit in BA. Ah yes, an perfect example. Shadow Arena was like a coffee with caffeine and you asking Shadow Arena with no rewards is like Coffee with no caffeine. do you get it? 

wtf you saying now! bro, it took less then 2mins to gather 50 players for SA everytime i quened for it lol. High numbers of players played it, ofc it started to go bad after 100s of YT video showing Shadow Arena has hackers so players felt unfair but instead of fixing it, PA took it away. Did you even read what i wrote?
