They would have to start with adding DX12 to BDO. They talked about adding it in the mid 2010s but nothing came out of it. Instead BDO uses DX11 and dropped DX9 (if i remember correctly). Another big problem is Microsoft's stance on forcing people to jump to their latest and crappiest OS every generation so there's likely some modules that won't be compatible between windows 10 and windows 11 users. BDO currently does not support windows 11.

Presently BDO supports FSR 1 and it looks terrible. I don't know what they could do to improve support for the latest version, however keep in mind that DLSS 3.0 isn't supported by 99% of the market share (thanks to nividia's stance to not allow it on older cards) and so there is no point for them to invest in this. But they could at least add 2.x support.

I don't think Korean devs understand the western audience completely yet and it may take a lot of effort to convince them to try. It took them long enough before they opened themselves to adding a "proper story" to the game which is generally unheard of for korean mmos. Keep pushing for it! PA is not as stubborn as you may think they are.

WAIT, you just said BDO is running on DX9 ? Please confirm it because im in shock....

If this is true there is NO CHANCE for these technologies its impossible on curent trash DX9 engine...

Also i dont see chances they will rewrite BDO on new engine to much work and they add new zones so more work in future.

Im with you guys but if they could they would add these technologies long time ago..............

so what? they can add new fsr ALSO. dlss is better. this isnt some indie company they are billion dollar company they should make support for both.

so how dlss working on console if they are on amd ?

microsoft neither is a indie company and they chose adm over nvidia for starfield, so not dlss either, majority game dont have dlss, so you should ask nvidia to sponsor black desert to expect dlss

they need dx12 for dlss and even one of the newer versions, i believe microsoft calls directx ultimate for direct storage and other new features to work. so you are asking a lot, but i do wish the same.
i read there is a way to get fsr 2.0 in dx11 with direct support from amd, if pa contact them or something along those lines. i think that is the easiest and most realistic option that should give some improvements.

long term i hope there is a remastered 2.0 in the pipeline to keep this game relevant.

Somebody test https://www.nvidia.com/de-de/geforce/rtx-remix/with BDO?

IF PA doesnt improve the technics in BDO the game will die in 3 years!

- DX12 where?

- DLSS where?

- Raytracing/pathtracing where?

- 4k textures where?

Good UI where?

Good grafhic menü where?

PA is milking the players and will let the game die.
