Family Name: Areyn

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestions/Comments: The southern tip of LomL is pretty much empty, and another dock between Nampo and Byeot would be welcome. Just place Ratt there, no longer blocked off, and all is good. NPC dialog would have to change a bit, after all it's not exactly Haso. It could be a Haso embassy though, that would nicely explain the different style and offer some new quest options.

Why?  I'm happier with the Ratt NPC's at Oquilla...

Imo, Port Ratt was a cool city design that was unique and interesting. While the new villages are nice, they are pretty basic and honestly, very grounded. The fantasy is gone.

They wanted to create Korea essentially, so they transplanted an idyllic portrayal of a Korea from a few hundred years ago into the game instead of the original vision.

I think putting the original city back in the existing land would be very out of place, but adding an island nearby and putting it there would be cool.

I agree with OP's sentiments, but I also agree that LoML is not the right feel for Port Ratt.  Having it's own space would be better.

They disrespected Ratt by nuking it.  Ratt would disrespect LoML because they nuked it for LoML.

They should recreate Ratt because it is awesome.   It is not Nampo.  Nampo is Velia Secunda, not Ratt.

Port Ratt Remembers.

There was literally nothing at port ratt.. why does everyone keep saying they miss it?

It was a beautiful, mysterious place that offered promise of an even greater, more mysterious, more beautiful place.

Then we got Nampo.

And, I'll stop talking now.

It's not about what was there, but how it looked and felt. It was a beautiful port town rising vertically up the cliffs and had a mysterious atmosphere. There was nothing like it in the game. While Port Epheria is somewhat similar, it's more built against a cliff than up it.

Unfortunately, to my understanding, thanks to the absolute spaghetti code that is Port Ratt, may not be returnable. There are many reasons Haso never came out, one among them being that the code got messed up years ago, or that's at least what I've heard.

However I'm sure there's a file somewhere for the buildings etc.

The sailing daily quest for 30 mobs in sea monster habitat definetely needs to be moved back from Oquilla to either Moodle wharf or one of the 2 islands there.
