Suggestions/Comments: Right now doing boat content in the game as a group is hindered by some of the ever-present technical issues present with boats.  Let me list some.

1. If boats move too fast, people with worse connections get dumped into the water.  We refer to this as de-sync.  It leads to a lot of wasted time and effort when the captain has to circle the boat around to pick up all the group members that were dumped in the drink.

2. If you try to move around the boat, up ladders, over railings, up stairs, while the boat is moving - you become a moving projectile.  Commonly you end up stuck in the captains quarters where you have mere moments before you get pooped out the back of the boat.  Other times you simply either are ejected off the back of the boat, or you are just immediately dropped in the water.

3. Getting kidnapped by other boats that are passing by or through you.  In areas with a lot of boat traffic, such as at Vell - its common for other boats to look for a good spot to shoot from, running through other boats in the process and 'scooping' players from your boat onto theirs in the process.  This even happens with NPC Ferrys closer to the main land.

Suggestions:

1. Something like a 'seat belt toggle' - that makes it so that if you have it enabled, if at any point you were not on the boat, you are immediately rubber-banded back to it.

2. Maybe something like an 'interaction circle' that lets you choose where on the boat you want to be;  Prow, Deck, Upper Deck, Helm, etc.

3. Perhaps make the entire ship a rigid body with collision to other ships?  Thats how it works with players currently, wherein you can't run through other players and there are potentially 'blocking walls' - this might be its own problem, but it seems like it might be a good solution for now.  Ships won't be able to phase through each other any more, thus cannot scoop.

I agree with all except for the 3rd point. Forced collision will prevent you from moving if you need to, in the case you are surrounded.

At Vell, for exemple, if you're stuck in the damaging zone, you can't help yourself then.

I think moving through the boats should be improved by your idea of the boat-belt.

They made an option for fishing, there should be in any case while you're on a boat: decide to be locked up to this one or not.

I also agree with all but #3. If boats couldn't phase through each other, crowded warfs would be seriously problematic. The fix for that would be to hide other players boats and warfs IF your boat is checked out. That way you could check yours in if you need to see other players boats, but it would make it much easier to get on and off yours.

I would also like to add a suggestion, to have an option to warp FROM your ship to the nearest land (within 40m) so we don't have to keep jumping off into the water, and having to climb out of the water.
