overall increase on weight would be great. would make transporting crates make more sense. the geared out carracks should be better then loading ahorse ontoa epheria cog....
I do hear maybe still saying the money isnt that good, but i dont know what it would be like bartering with like higher levels... 200%+ movespeed, ebenruth's nol ( which is way to hard to get, imagine land mounts haveing double accel being that rare, ppl would hate it, yet ocean.... yeah it hurts ) but also too, having high bartering levels dropping parley to help boost income... yeah i still dont know how income would be....
another note on this topic is pets. not having exp bonus for sailing/bartering... makes it that much hard to try to actually get those high levels to see it maybe start to make decent money?
awful autopathing.... you can have a straight line destination, but autopath makes you go way off in ddifferent directions, how? why?
and last thing is autopathing and running into the land. a lot of times i feel like the boat should be a magnet, and the islands and other coasts should be the other magnet, and they should repel each other the closer they are the stronger they repel (while autopathing)
those 2 things, better auto pathing, and some type of repel system, would REALLY help out autopathing/frustration

Tip i was told recently, which seems to be working great, is have your boat completely stopped, open map and pick your destination, then just press T and let it go.
If you set your autopath while the boat is moving, or do any manual steering, it will throw your path off and cause zig-zags.

i do agree with you on the to slow for the money over the day. But making it faster is not the solution sailors want. Wailors want to sail and make decent money compared to grinding/lifeskilling. and not be limited over time.
i will copy paste from here: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Forum/ForumTopic/Detail?_topicNo=37585&_page=2&_opinionNo=158890
I wouldnt mind getting more weight on ships but atm, i don't think it really is a problem.
i still can do my margoria coin run + sailies + rest of parley in 1h20.
i still can do silver runs in 45mins (avoiding margoria).
time is the same (+/- 5mins) if i use volante or valor or advance.
ofc, this is fast because i'm used to it and have good ships and sailors. But we must talk endgame. if begining is too easy, i don't mind, but makes end game completely busted (which i would love).
More weight = faster barter. is it really waht barter needs? imho, no! We need more barter and that it brings more income.
i think the buff barter needs is the end of parley (or at least more parley / or greater reduction of parley with lifeskill/mastery level), more windows of bartering, deleting the CD on refresh, and more value to barter items that we sell.
Atm a silver run is 12 barter points of 6x7.5m items = 540m. It should be 10m per item making the max 720m.
And what happens when you like bartering but are done in 1h30? This is the only activity that has a limit on it, when you're done, you're done. no more.

I think of it from an immersion perspective. The point of having a barter route that goes from Land Mats to Tier 5/coins implies that you should be able to leave port with a load of land mats and barter your way up and head back to port at the end of it. Now with 10 barters, if your Tier 1 --> 2 is a x3, you are already overweight there.
I know most people don't do this because full routes are not the most efficient way, but in principle, if you are at the point you have a carrack with green gear, you should be able to at least go through half the route before being overweight.

yes, routes are the worst possible way to barter.
Adding more weight or reducing weight of barter items can be good, but i will just make our bartering be done faster. why not, it's just that some people like bartering/sailing and would like to do more (and being rewarding).
