Comments: Please don't re-add XIGNCODE3 back to the game. I played this game in 2020(and still playing it) because it had EAC and got rid of xigncode3. Xigncode3 makes the game run worse, it's worse than EAC and it's a rootkit. If next Tuesday there's gonna be a SYSTEM Security change update I'm just gonna uninstall it and return when EAC is back.

Last time I ran a game(blade and soul) with xigncode3 on my old computer xhunter1.sys was still on my PC even after deleting the game (because they said after uninstall of the game xigncode3 will be auto deleted) and I had to manually delete it from every nook and cranny.

If they going to update it  as frequently as they doing with EAC ( they don't update it at all), there is no point in protection  at all, cheats getting update in 1-24h of last anticheat update, while anticheat  don't getting updated in month's.

Also in current gaming situation rootkit is necessary to attempt to ensure cheating protection.

XIGNCODE is a useless tool which doesn't really prevent cheating, often wastes too much CPU power, sends private information (which is against the laws of many western countries, including USA btw.) and feels like the reason for most of the crashes.
You should be more concerned that they log all files and paths that you modified in the last ~48 hours and all executables with prefetch files into their logs."

There's also a number of other intrusive things it does like monitoring text your type while the game is running, which can be found in other threads

Xigncode is pretty much an insane key logger, that records folders that are open, files, memory, dll's, processes, connected hardware, and more, it is all store on the Welbia servers. If they allow this it violates the GDPR since the date need to be store in an EU country afaik.

Also people got banned left and right for having RGB memory, Razer's mouse software, Steelseries headset software, and the list goes on and on and on. Having a folder open with mods and edit tools for fallout or skyrim while afking in bdo, that is a violation.

I don't need rootkit, I need anti cheat that actually works...preferably some ai auto learning updating every hour against cheats

Its imposible anymore, if you want anti cheat its must have kernel access, cheats way to advanced now. How"AI auto learning" gonna learn to update  every hour w/o having full access to users system ?  And more importantly who's gonna invest in gigantic infastructure to keep that AI going, don't try to suggest block chain, because again you'll go against your own statement that you don't want rootik on your PC.

I'm not cheering for xingcode, as i said in my first post  its going to be useless anyway, i'm even sure its not going to block any macro software.

Well, if this change is coming out to the live server, I am uninstalling BDO and moving to Geforce Now. There is no reason for malware to exist on my computer. 

The speedrunning BDO is doing backward in recent patches is crazy. 

I can understand if you still have a 7 years old PC and already playing the game with 99% CPU usage. But that bit the time to upgrade.

Easy anti cheat is a kernel level anti cheat, exactly like Xingcode. Same go for BattlEye used on Battlefield game, PUBG, Destiny 2 and plenty of other game.

There are not 40 ways to do an anti cheat, they are all the same.
The only reason for this change is necessarily the cost. (if the change happens, remember that It's currently in test in global lab, it may never hit live server)

Even those directly integrated into a game's engine are at kernel level and collect the same information that you consent for it each time you accept the TOS.

To believe that there is a fundamental difference between these anti-cheats is to be very misinformed. If the information is not available for most proprietary anti-cheat it is because they are even more evasive than one might believe (hello riot).

Personally, I'm quite happy If its happen. I will be able to play other games under EAC while BDO is in Tray. Since games under Xingcode are rarer.

I remember when bdo was using xingcode, I couldn't afk ever. Game would crash way way more cause xingcode would scan ram 24/7 while game is running. It was BDO looked completely dead cause ppl would crash. 

There are no causals between anti cheat and crash. Each time I had a afk crash issue with BDO it was always hardware related (Instable ram timing, network adapter efficiency mode) etc....

The same people that complain about crash today were the same complaining about crash before the EAC arrival. People that are not Tech savvy at all and spit everything into the game fault, when it's their own incapability to troubleshoot their hardware that is the issue.

If not everyone crash, The problem is on your side.

The anti-chea supposedly continues running even if you shutdown Black Desert. It monitors your system 24/7 and sends the digital signature of every software/program you run on your computer to their servers. Who knows what else it does, there isn't much information out there.

I'm hoping they don't bring back that piece of trash. It never stopped the speed hackers and it had many performance issues.
