The anti-chea supposedly continues running even if you shutdown Black Desert. It monitors your system 24/7 and sends the digital signature of every software/program you run on your computer to their servers. Who knows what else it does, there isn't much information out there.
I'm hoping they don't bring back that piece of trash. It never stopped the speed hackers and it had many performance issues.
It also logs every input you write so it's basically a good keylogger(or so I heard...)

Of all the possible reasons that would make me quit BDO, I never expected an anti cheat implementation would be the one.
I love this game to bits, spent so much time on it and it was a great journey, but if PA actually decides to implement XIGN, this is where I will have to say goodbye.
Most people aren't aware what this free spyware does (yes, I am not afraid to call it that way).
If I have to choose between being forced to close BDO to play another game and be safe AND being able to play multiple games while XIGN has an easy access to my personal data, the choice will be obvious.
PA, please reconsider this. Cheaters will cheat, hackers will hack, no matter which anti cheat you gonna go with.
BDO has already received quite the hit and XIGN will only make it worse. Those people who are aware of what this software is capable of won't touch BDO with a 10ft pole. Me and a couple of people I know included.

Question: was Xigncode the thing that was previously causing Coherent.UI to make tons of duplicates of itself and reserve way more thread Handles (sometimes in the Thousands) than even Chrome with dozens of tabs opened would slow your processes down by?

Comments: Please don't re-add XIGNCODE3 back to the game. I played this game in 2020(and still playing it) because it had EAC and got rid of xigncode3. Xigncode3 makes the game run worse, it's worse than EAC and it's a rootkit. If next Tuesday there's gonna be a SYSTEM Security change update I'm just gonna uninstall it and return when EAC is back.
Last time I ran a game(blade and soul) with xigncode3 on my old computer xhunter1.sys was still on my PC even after deleting the game (because they said after uninstall of the game xigncode3 will be auto deleted) and I had to manually delete it from every nook and cranny.
Considering the 'please don't add gvg changes to the game' topic had about 100 times the likes and was entirely ignored by the staff, I think it's safe to say this one will be too. Sorry bruh.

People do know xigncodes useless as a anti cheat only good as a anti vpn... Thats why it checks every file on your pc... Well logging it all to keep with upcomming /new vpns also records key strokes... Xigncode is known for false positives and very rarely catches cheaters/bots/speedhackers. The fact it collects data an keeps it outside of sending it to pa... Well we dont know what happens to the data xigncode has after that im guessing its simlar to how ads work but worse.
The other issues like cpu overhead an even ram overhead is insane with it, which makes denuvo look not bad...
The cpu handle leak( someone spoke of) is inherent to suboptimal coding of bdo in general(as you can still check task manager to see this occurring) also has a memory leak that isnt seen in task manager but is seen in resource monitor...
Main issue is all around worse than EAC.
