   Over the past weeks I have gathered data from multiple PVP guilds across North America and have deduced the following ideas. 

A lot of problems with PVP and the massive amount of difficulty added when Resistances were added and protections were chenged to add gaps that are inconsistant from class to class. The commmunity I am around all agree that Pre-2020 class settings in PVP provided the most across the board protection and balanced PVP gameplay keeping each class unique in their own respective potential. Resistances in PVP have created a severe imbalance making classes almost completely immune to attacks across multiple types of attack. 

Pearl Abyss, I believe PVP was best in the earlier days, not now. Its time to make it fun like it used to be. Resistances should apply only to PVE, bring back the old Protections while removing ALL crystal added resistances.  Several ideas keep touching on some of the problems but not actually address all of the fundamental problems created with PVP resistances which I think was the most major factor causing modern issues.

Speaking with many of the the Top PVP players in NA, none have rejected the idea of removing resistances, adding back protections and bringing back the old system of PVP of 2018 -2019. Back when you had to know how Classes worked, not when you had to find out which resistances they are using.

I personally dont think removing resistance in pvp is the miracle solution.

The solution is much deeper than just that.

Once again, another post asking to remove resistance.

Seems you don't get the impact it'll have to classes who actually lack on protections. If I take my Warrior in Awakening, beside my block, I don't have much protection to spam.
You remove my resistance, I'll have just pass my time on floor. I'll run with very few SA and FG.

The problem on the PVP isn't resistance, but many things.
PA gave insane amount of protection since 2018 rework. Almost 3/4 of all classes have perma SA - FG - Iframe rotations, and some includes grab.
In 2018, Pearl Abyss nerfed some classes because some were too much protection, exemple Warrior Awakening . But now, PA just revert the nerf.

Then we have the fact PA gave too much grab to classes, since they buffed amount of protections, they are making new classes with grab because it's just impossible to counter some class.
Look Sage, Lahn & Hashashin, they have no block but full protection rotations and combo with a grab. Do you find that normal ? Spamming Iframe with grab ?

Then we have DMG, since PA overbuffed ranged classes' DMG, they buff some melee classes and made completely stupid. Berserker Succession, Drakania, Valkyrie awakening, Guardian, Nova Awakening for exemple.

So nah, resistance isn't the issue and it'ss what the community asked to PA and what PA also gave to community. I still see some players telling me Berserker Succession or Valkyrie Awakening still need buff in PVP.

That's the issue.

problem is so many classes can keep moving at lightning speed invisible to other players eyes which(but not only it) paired with mouse movement totally breaks the game engine and your screen isnt showing you where enemy actually is.

problem is devs keep giving some classes great burst  and speed of attacks on top these classes being giga mobile

problem is devs think its okay ranged class can vaporize you in a milisec from range

problem is shield classes are moving fast like they are particles of light

problem is some classes can move in 3d and survive insane amount of shiet while other classes can barely defeat the tiny branch on the floor as if its their mortal enemy.

problem is decent amount of skills isnt really 3d but is 2d and simply ceases to function at tiniest of slopes, which not only ruins immersion, but totally annoy the living fck out of user.

problem is some classes are simply meant to lose some matchups by design and class vs class modifiers only make it worse.

problem is they keep increasing capped content without really capping it poroperly leaving once again only some clases outperofriming like crazy.

problem in the end is developers dont even seem to grasp whats wrong with pvp or even sadder, they dont care.

and on topic, if they just remove resistances without reworking classes that kinda depend on them they will once again put a dagger in the back to the people that are still for whatever reason loyal to their shit outdated classes.

Dont let perfect be the enemy of good.

We all know there is no perfect solution that will make everyone happy and every class balanced.  It looks like removing resistances is one of the few changes that a significant amount of the pvp playerbase wants. If you have a problem with it, come up with a better (realistic) solution.

If your class uses resistances as a significant crutch, let that be remedied in a future update.
