That's what happens if you focus on sailies and SMH and not on bartering.  Yes, their sailng exp is higher than yours, but their bartering exp is far lower than yours by comparison.  The new sailing exp from non-margoria is so low, and has been in place for so short a time, that it does not have a significant effect.

Now, allowing autopath loops in margoria, that's what's going to raise some folks sailing exp.  But that's also just been released.

Ok I want compensation in bartering because I couldn't use it before nerfs when barter had no limit/restrictions, and when people like you achieved master/guru in a month and now it takes a year.

Also sailing exp in shallow water is so ridiculously low that it is practically non-existent if you have artisan and above.

No, It's such a tiny amount of sail exp. Lets ask for CP compesation cuz everytime they increase cap anyone over the new soft cap loses all that cp exp or a hundred other compensation we could be owed for any change. I grinded at spots years ago that loots been buffed gimme money. These high sailing ppl ain't getting it from the nothing we get bartering. I also knew seeing your name on the thread it would start off "I'm guru 50 barterer".

Autopath loops are a joke.   First, you gotta unequip crystals and not use sailors (or you can suffer the consequences).  With that, you can only last about 1.5 to 2 hours on autoloop without using breezy sail.   I tried it with a blue panok and got crap at M12.  Like 0.2x or something.  Until they add an auto-ration, it's not even worth it.

Thanks for that, I hadn't tried it yet, figures it would be crippled.  I did see a few boats sailing in odd patterns out there when this was first released, but nothing after the first few days.

You think it was easy to get a ship it was not and it did not take long for them to add the amout of Barter a day and you can see how many Barter i had todo

Sailing XP doesn't  come from sailing, its come from quests that gives sailing XP (and afaik from monsters if you loot them, which not really happens if you dont farm them). Master 25 sailing most likely ( i'll bet ~70%) is just old speedhacker who didn't get banned. On EU there was a guy like that, he was master 1 sailing when its was impossible to be one (before quests, when you only had 1 quest for sailing XP).

So if OP want to level sailing, OP should do sailing not bartering. Personally i won't have any problems if PA compensate "missed xp", because  i'm sure its won't even give me 1%.

This is so hard to understand as a single run-on sentence and referencing changes in only vague ways. "[...]when they made that change[...]." What change? There's been so many to both sailing and bartering, you need to be specific, especially since none have been recent.

The gist that I am getting is you're saying old sailors with high sailing EXP should get even more EXP since it's only gotten easier to gain EXP?

I think it's fine as it is. Easier sailing EXP just means it's actually viable to hit guru 1 sailing when a few years back, it was noted as utterly impossible. There is no reason to retroactively reward past endeavors in the present. That being said, the average sailor's sailing EXP will come from sailies; the EXP gained from actually sailing won't amount to anything unless you have been sailing since before carracks were implemented and probably non-stop at that. Then it might be a decent amount, but still nothing compared to what came from sailies.

When I started playing BDO, players already had Caravel or Galleass with blue gear, and carrack had just been added to the game. Obtaining a carrack from scratch, without the help of other players and without a khan, takes 3-4 months (much faster nowadays). And after about this time, barter was nerfed to zero.

Friends who had been playing since the premiere of BDO earned their all boss pens thanks to this barter. In just 1-2 months. And that was the main reason why PA nerfs bartering so much.

Sailing exp is so slow that even quests don't give anything, and they cost us too much time, and then we lose on barter. My sailing is at Artisan7. I wanted to reach Master, but if I remember correctly, all the daily quests did not give me even 10% per day. I considered it pointless to continue doing them because, as I wrote above, I was wasting time that I could have spent on barter.
