I really like gathering them and the alchemy system. If they wanted to simplify, wouldn't it be better to ask for less quantity of the materials?

You're not the only one. Lots of people liked the alchemy system having too many variants of the same item just to overcomplicate the recipe system, forcing people to have multiple workers wasted on multiple nodes for different versions of what is just a recolor of the same item with a different name. 
I'm not one of them. I'm glad I went from having three rows used up on Traces + Fruits turned into two slots.

One of the best changes so far for me, but it is understandable that people who passionately enjoyed alchemy the way it was won't feel the same. I also felt that way when they removed low tier horses.

A very good answer. I am just sorry that I did not snipe enough of them low-cost fruits and traces in time. I am sure there are people who did.

I understand people who saw "variety" in the over-complicated system as it was, but for me, it was also the same item with different colors.

Sure it's convenient, but having to gather different things makes you explore and go out there and get stuff.

Now for traces, all I have to do is invest in Ancient Stone Chamber.

Things are just getting a little too easy.

They might as well just have us cook dishes called food, and have us brew liquids called potions.  Why stop the simplification process?

not sure why we all should have the bank space but have a feeling it has todo with how many contribution points people have so they can not get all the nodes to get everything i have 96 worker and 496 points i guess most need half what i have just like everything in game it all just getting easyer and it sure does not make me happy they did it to sailing and bartering now this

Hey Pearl Abyss -- Do you realize this hyper simplifcation train you appear to be on is exactly what killed WoW? I quit WoW and came to BDO because I enjoy some challenge and complexity in an mmo (yeah I admit I'm an adult). Now all that BDO game time (work) I did over the last few years to build my BDO empire is slipping away. Everything from the time I spent waiting through the horse taming mini game for my guru goal, to figuring out how to best distribute my CP for nodes/workers to get needed mats, to deciding what to farm to shore up my needed supplies, to managing where I store stuff, etc. etc., all that challenging juggling -- you're erroding it to damn near nothing so that children can play this game. What's next? Will I only need to go in and blow a kiss to a boss mob to get a prime drop? I didn't want to believe it back when you added Blush Leaf, but now it seems clear you intend to continue this erosion. Dream horses aren't even special anymore. What I do believe is that you're currently on track to lose your invested gamers (that would be the gamers who carried the game up to now). And for what? Kids who play for a hot minute before they're distracted by something else? mhm... downhill slide.

There rly wasnt any decent way to gather traces and fruits though that was always the main issue.

Gathering herbs gave 8 kinds of fruit at a low rate. Farming for them is very time gated.

Traces were only from worker nodes until they added them to grind spots which made them a bit more accessible.

I just dont think your statement applies to these materials.
