Yes, this is the typical "logic" of the Korean mmo school.

This is why I stopped playing Cabal after 3 years. I hoped that those times were over and that, under the influence of criticism from Western players, games such as BDO would be adapted to the Western consumer, but the PA dev team stubbornly defends itself against changes. Only now, in 2024, many positive changes have started to be introduced, but these are too small changes to actually make a difference.

This. I've been saying this for a long time. I don't see a problem with the grind, but the grind has to give me something. However, grind in BDO is endless. Achieving a soft cap such as bs tet, boss gear pen witt Jetina, even fallen god 0+, tungrad tet, etc. it's really a lot of fun and makes sense. Getting e.g. bs pen, fallen god DUO+, all pen accessories (not only deboreka) is becoming absurd.

And that's not all. Life skills. Here the "wall" appears already at TET. Next life skill level (even at Master levels) means hundreds of hours of grinding for each life skill. Getting an infinity potion with pity = fun, getting other treasures without pity = absurd. Getting carrack = fun. Getting blue gear for carrack = absurd. Etc., etc. etc. 

The idea of enhancement fails should be "try to get lucky and not have to spend as much on an item as its market value OR not be lucky and spend only the amount that is equal to market value". 

If you're not lucky and you're going beyond the value in crons that the item is worth from the market, then, at that point, you're getting screwed. The number of attempts before you've gone over rounds up to 11, right? If I got to 11 using my silver earned from grinding... then at that point, I'd only use the free crons that they give out. (That's really all I use anyway... I haven't bought crons from a blacksmith... yet.) 

I feel bad for the people that have gone beyond spending market price in crons to enhance. PA should have sympathy for that and not make it be 40 attempts. I get that PA gives out FREE crons... so I could see 15-20 attempts truly being fair... but they don't give out 40 (max attempts) -11 (earned attempts) worth of free crons in a year, so making it 40 max to get the PEN Blackstar is really unfair.

Know what, I remember a time in bdo, when cronstones were'nt even a thing for enhancing. People tapped their items raw on a daily basis.

They simply had no choice. If things went badly, you wouldn't even have enough memory fragments to recover your item.

So either you buy your item or you click it yourself, but pls stop crying about pen bs and shit, things are ez af nowadays. Sooner or later you'll get it.

It is fair and the cost in enhance will always be higher than the market value. Because that's the only way it made sense to enchance..
3x or 4x the market price I think is fair. More than that, i dont think its fair like the Manos acc and dead god armor on V attempt. 3x or 4x on any amount I think is fair. More than that no.
