I hope the new blitz thing will not be mandatory to upgrade the new weapon or i have to quit until they change it.
PA has already announced the flames will be gated, rare drops in those boss raids in the new LOML zone. Its possible the mats for advancing will also be that way, and if so I would agree. Locking away progression behind group boss raids available in one zone will cause many players to leave.
I would imagine it will be like the cup system in Elvia, which is arguably tollerable, being that it takes hundreds of a rarely dropped mat, combined with hundreds of other rarely dropped mats that you can only grind for, and not buy from the market, to finally craft that cup. But at least you don't have to be in group content and can solo grind for cup mats.
Then, like the cups, PA will wonder why there's such a scarcity of advancing these weapons, along with player complaints from other regions (because Korea will not be vocal enough during the trial period, and PA ignores the other regions to start), will introduce some lame "catch-up" event, like with these "Jewel of Perfect Power" to grind anywhere and trade for the ingredients you need, but that's probably 16 months from now announced at another ball event, and on and on.
So predictable.

On the other hand im a completist and i guess there will be new jounral entries for the new bosses so i'll at least have to clear them all once. This will probably be easier than doing the solo ones since i imagine you can be carried to a degree. I never got further than level 5 so all these level 6 and 7 entries i probaly will never be able to complete and it annoys my completist mind a lot. It seems insane that they show three more levels (8 to 10) to those solo bosses because like... SERIOUSLY? You think level 7 is just not hard enough? Like what will 10 be.... I mean i may be a solo player, but frankly i wish all loml bosses were always group so i could at least probably be carried and get these entries. They matter more to me than getting the mats since i don't .enhance..
It's to the point i legit thought about finding someone to log into my account and clear the bloss blitz level 6 and 7 until i realised that would require them doing it for .four weeks and that anyway i didnt trust anyone enough to use my account. too bad I dont know BDO players irl...

The problem is SP rpgs offer very finite experiences. You play them a hundred hour at most and you're done.
Anyway all devs take into account solo players, they've always been in mmorpgs and always will be. I watched a conference on mmorpgs where they specifically adressed that part of the playerbase, talking about how to balance solo content with group content. Now of course nobody can say that BDO is not tailored well for solo players, it's quite the opposite, and it's specifically why they have to keep thinking about this playerbase because they have drawn a lot of them.
I don't think there should be mandatory group content, however I'm perfectly fine with having group content be more advantageous than solo. Not disproportionately so but reasonably. Give an incentive to do group content but don't force it.
I already suggested in another thread that ALL mobs on the map should have group versions that you access through an instance like with Elvia. If they did this they would pretty much pacify the segment of the playerbase that wants a lot of group content forever. They could even have several instances like, for two people, three people, four people, the mobs obviously being stronger the more people there are.

Alright, and what about that MP part? If you want to nitpick on words I don't think BDO is the right game to do this on. Literally 95% of BDO is solo journey, with out the need to make any friends or even join a guild. Even sadder part, being in a guild in this game is just for QoL benefits, hilarious.
Also another naive take on your part to believe that people who avoid interactions = gotta play SP games and people who like interactions = play MP games.
It'll probably blow your mind but people like and seek very different things out of games. Naturally MMORPG's offer so much more than a SP game every will. Like someone mentioned above, SP games only last you 40-100 hours at best and then you're done. MMO's are infinite journey if one chooses to and with far more things/options to spend your time on. Not to mention the freedom of choice in MP games, while SP games follow a fixed path til it's over.
I am not against group content in BDO. It's just the brash line Mr.Gladrian delievered that made me smirk.
