So I opened a Shakatu's Shiny Life Box and of course I got the 18 Capharas stones. Then I opened the Shakatu Luxury Box and got memory fragments.
Yeah yeah, bad luck, rngeeus, etc etc.... Or is it?
We don't know what the drop rates actually are. The text implies that there is an equal percentage for each item by listing them all together, but we all know that's not accurate from experience. So what are the drop rates? Is it .01 % chance to roll on the table that has the stuff people actually want like the TRI Manos ring and a 99.99% chance to get the junk? Who knows? I did find a few places that purpoted to list the percentages, but I don't know where they obtained that data or how old and valid it is. It certianly isn't on the tooltip or on PA's website.
I did some googling on the topic and found that back in 2019 Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony were planning to require loot box odds disclosure, but I'm not sure that actually happened. And although I play on PC, I believe that there are some places were disclosure is mandated by law.
This is really an area that PA (and other game developers) need to take the lead on. Because sooner or later Government is going to get involved (moreso than they already are) and the outcome will be a disaster.
That's why people call them scam boxes. Memory and shards have a 99,99% chance to be drawn.
Not a 99% but close :D Its not the same box OP is asking about but you can extrapolate to any other box tbh. The chances to get the lesser rewards are always very very high.
This data was taken in 2018 in the famous sheetleaks from Wtfbloo that ended in him being banned, all info is stored in reddit and discord.
It's a know fact that this box returns less than 100m on avarage. It's know since years, as they put it on sale literately once every three months.
It's your fault getting scammed.
Also if they would show the rates, noone would buy them, since they couldn't scam anyone, then what would be the point?

That 63% meme frag rate
O_o'
As a rule of thumb, never buy the Shakatu boxes, or any other loot box. Event ones are fine, but be prepared to expect scraps rather than anything amazing. Even the ones that are sold for silver are more for people with silver to burn than anyone else.
Those drops rates seem accurate, even if they are a few years old now. Disappointing that they banned the guy over daring to just inform people, though not surprising...assuming that's true.
"scam boxes" is the name used by teenage drama queens. Actually those are lottery boxes.
This said, displaying drop rates is common in the industry nowadays and should be enforced by Pearl Abyss to protect uneducated people who don't know what a lottery is.
They display the rates for a lot of boxes.....
and the only thing that has shown us...
is that you will still open those boxes...
regardless of the rates....
. . . peepo-stare. . .
Drop chances was posted by JP publisher last year ( due to local laws), knowing PA and how they recycle events and content its same boxes. If JP have this boxes with us again, check out JP patchnotes to see drop chances.
I was looking for this table for 10 minutes yesterday, thanks.
