Sadly nothing was improved ... after I had to restart my BDO client, handles went to 100'000 in just one day. So nothing was fixed.

I'm also looking with Process Explorer what's going on with those handles, and now I see where the problem is.

For some reason BDO client is scanning entire PC all the time (probbably some sort of anti-cheat detection), and instead of dropping handles it just keeps holding them for no reason. I'm also attaching link to a file that is showing all handles from BDO: Text file of all handles

I understand that BDO client needs to scan processes to prevent hacking and use of illegal software, but something needs to be changed with this process. It makes no sesne that it keep handles open even after another program is closed. For example, you can see from that teyt file, that there are about 674 handles just from msedge.exe. And after I closed Edge browser, amount of handles remained the same.

The worst handle leak seems to be going on with svchost.exe process. From total 11'000 handles of BDO client, 3800 were just from svchost.

There are also 384 handles from "Non-existing process" ... so something that was already closed, yet BDO client keeps those handles open.

I know I'm only pointing out problems, and don't provide any info about fixing this ... sadly my knowdlege isn't that great about that stuff, but I would imagine there is someone competent enough in BDO developer team to find some sort of solution for that. Or they would hire someone from outside to fix that for them.

And since I know this isn't going to be fixed any time soon, I now have to find some other solution or some kind of a script that will periodicly just kill those useless handles. Still hoping it will get fixed one day.

First maintenance this year also doesn't seems to address this issue.

Handle leak is still present in this game, and not even mentioned in the Known Issues Notice :(

Does any PA worker even read all these threads? I doubt; and if so do the programmers get a notice about them? Why dont we, the players get a feedback from the moderator, that they acknowledge? How does the information chain works?

I have, if i remember well, two tickets running, since weeks and still no answers, so imo even here, the forum RNG rules just like in the game.

Too many questions, no answers at all.

PA policy has always been to give information as little as possible, about almost everything, even worse, they hide important things from the community, remember the hidden stats scandal. 

As much as i (somehow still do) enjoy playing this, i wish i never started playing it at all.

They probably put it down to being a game engine limitation or something :/

Maybe it's because I'm not a developer/programmer, but I find it hard to believe that they are unable to close unsued handles due to limitation of game engine.

A year later and problem is still here. Can we at least get feedback if that was even investigated?
