Guild size and War size:

Currently, every node & siege is 100 person cap. Guilds (and also entire alliances) are also 100 person cap.

What we want is 50-person maximum nodewar participation, and 100-person guild person cap.  Right now, you would optimally want 100% player attendance from your entire team, for each war. That is impractical, it is not realistic. Capping Nodewar participation to 50 members instead of 100 means you only need 50% organizational participation per war, which is FAR less stressful and far more manageable.

It takes so much effort to administrate a guild of 100 people, and to encourage as many people as possible to attend the wars. It's far far far simpler and less stressful, if you can have a pool of 100 members, and only need to bring 50 people to a war. If you can bring more (like 100!!) then you need to bring more, you want to win so you bring as many people as possible. It is very anti-fun to organize a competitive team for war with the current system. Capping war participation down to 50 members would be much nicer.

Additionally, 100+ people per side of a fight, means LAG LAG LAG. 50 players per side is far easier on the server and on the clients, too. 100-man teams sounds "cool" on paper, but it actually sort of sucks in real gameplay.

Guild Alliances & Mergers:

Right now, An alliance between two guilds has many deficiencies. The guilds in the alliance have separate GvGs, separate names, separate CTGs. When in node war, their name changes to the alliance name, but the kill feeds in node war do not show normally like it does for normal guilds (player killed member of X guild, this shows wrongly when alliances are involved).

Merging two guilds together right now is also very difficult and a very serious decision. You must have all of the members of one guild quit the guild, find an alt account to become GM so the GM can leave, or disband the whole thing - destroying their elephants/galleys/skills. Once they quit, there is a 24hr cooldown, then they join the guild they are merging into and have a 2-week period of sprout status with no rank and no privileges.

There should be a more streamlined, superior way to merge guilds together, to help preserve the officer structures, funds, elephants, etc - of both guilds, to genuinely produce a stronger guild from the two combined.

I believe that the new Nodewar system is mostly good stuff, but its introduction is going to coincide with a lot of reform and change in the current mass of node war guilds. We would benefit greatly from systems that make running guilds, and combining guilds, easier.

Also to add, wasn't there also talks of the 200 man alliance cap being added in glabs? Why didn't that come with the new nodewar system?
