Hello there, I posted this discussion on STEAM forum and I haven't got any answer. So I would like to ask here whether or if BDO will support STEAM Deck? I really like to play BDO on a portable device in the future.
So... will BDO support STEAM Deck? :)
Thanks, PA and everyone!
if you install windows 10 on it, its will work normaly.
BDO did not support Linux at all, even less SteamOS.
But you can install windows 10/a usb boot drive on the steam deck without problem normally.

It may look like a naive question because I'm not a pro, but I seem to remember that the steamdeck was supposed to get some other games that were initially not Linux - friendly. Isn't there something in steamOS that would allow it to support more games than Linux?

I believe you are referring to Proton. Several months in the future it appears the main issue with support is anti-cheat. Though Steam seems to be open to providing support for these anti-cheats if requested. Hoping to test how well windows runs off a Micro SD with BDO on it.
Additionally at the moment you can't seem to migrate or your account non-steam account through the steam sold Black Desert.
Easy Anticheat (What BDO uses) added Linux support but Pearl Abyss haven't bothered supporting it.

OK, thanks for the informations!

Well, Steam Deck had been recently launched, delivered by small steps, and its price is significant. It may not be a priority for many devs right now.

If Steam Deck got supported every Linux system would be automatically supported. All Linux distros would use the same implementation (Proton)
