As a guild master I understand how frustrating it can sometimes be to keep everyone's guild contracts yellow. Not everyone can coordinate swapping servers for this. There needs to be an easier, less intrusive way to renew guild contracts.

Fortunately I think there is a solution that utilizes a game mechanic that already exists: Guild invites

Any guild master, advisor or officer should be familiar with this system. When you invite a new member into your guild from the Recruit Guild Member tab, the receiving recruit has a scroll icon appear next to their minimap which they can click to recieve their guild invite.

Why not utilize this system to change the way guild contracts are renewed?

- The renewing officer and guild member do NOT have to be on the same server.

- The guild member can accept this at their leisure. Meaning a new guild contract will not appear on your screen in the middle of, for instance, grinding Gyfin or Orcs, or in the middle of Atoraxxion.

- Members who are, for example, AFK fishing overnight can view and accept their new contract when they return, and the renewing officer does NOT need to remain online.

- The guild member does NOT have to be online for the contract offer to go through.

This can be further expanded upon by allowing guild members to request a new contract themselves. They can click their contract icon, request a new contract, the icon turns green which will be noticed by a guild officer, then the renewing officer can send a new contract offer which utilizes the above system.

Or just save their time and get rid of contracts, replace it with "last online" date in the member list and let it be that. There's no point to contracts. I'm open to be convinced otherwise if someone can come up with a idea on why contracts should continue to be a thing but as it stands, there's no point. There is daily guild bonuses and monthly but it can be automatic based on the time you've joined instead of dealing with contract rewnewals.

IMO they could remake the entire guild system and have purpose to everything but I don't know if they would even consider it something important to put effort in. I think that by considering their mindset, just removing contract renewals to be the easiest solution to implement.

It's not so much they're pointless but more that they're a bit out dated, in my opinion.  I'm pretty sure it was originally meant to be some what of an immersion tool considering how tied to the world of mercantile this game is. You make a daily wage, you have buff benifits, etc. It only makes sense that you have a "contract" with the guild you're running with.  The thing is the fees associated with them are a joke. Even the make daily wage is a joke considering the inflation rate of everything in the game.  I remember when I first started playing, the contract had a early termination fee of like 300k and i was mind blown because it was so much silver. Like, WOW im stuck here till this is up, now these amounts are a pitance.

I like the idea of being able to renew regardless of server. I hate requesting someone drop what they''re doing and server hop just to renew. Or me server hopping only to find their afk, and I really hate when they're on olvia since I can't even go there.

Something else I'd like to happen as well is anyone with a blue contract be cut off from the weekly reward distrobution.
