Title.  I bought a TET on release day and am starting to feel the effects of buyers remorse, feeling I should've went for a Turo's, like a normal person.

The AP drop off from a IV Tungrad Necklace or Ogre/Laytenn is 3 AP, giving a 22 accuracy increase.  A IV Turo's Belt is also a -3AP decrease from a IV Tungrad Belt, but offers slightly less accuracy, being a 20 accuracy increase.  The prices of both at TET are around the same price, but I have a feeling a RLN will be valued about 2 billion less than a Turo's, after the price of TET RLN is able to stabalize on NA (it's still new).

Buuuut.....

We will be getting a V Capotia necklace eventually.  If the seasonal trend stays consistent, we should get it either Spring Season or Fall.  So this is making me start to regret getting a IV RLN.  Don't get me wrong, the damage is amazing, especially on Sorc.  But I don't think a 2 accuracy difference is worth more than the silver I could use for Caphra's, I need about 16 billion silver to C19 my Heve Helm and C6 my gloves and boots, and the would-be IV Laytenn sale could've put me that much closer.  Plus, using an RLN stunts the possibility of getting a Deboreka (this is a pipe dream ATM lol, but I'm going for one eventually), which makes me regret this purchase more.

Your opinion?

I wouldn't bet your progresison strategy on them giving players a free 8-9b--10b not too long ago I think it's sunk because of possible predictions--neck item. For 99% of players a non-deb tet neck is an end game item that they won't be replacing at all or in years, that's a very slippery slope.  Seasons are meant to give you a helping hand not give you end game items for nearly no effort.

Maybe I'll be wrong, maybe they might or maybe it will be a neck that's couple AP off. They've already destroyed the most of the accessory market beyond repair for tet or under. Once again tet accessories for most of the player base will always be end game since 1. Pen acc are outrageously high ~40-80b and 2. People will be upgrading if they go for pen their weapons/armor first.

I know I got a bit sidetracked but it's just food for thought before you plan everything to the last AP/DP point. :)

All good.  Thanks for your reply.  I spoke to some guildies and also asked Biohack for his opinion on the new neck.  The consenseuous that I got was that the new neck is indeed GOOD, as far as AP to accuracy trade offs / ratios goes.  Revived Lunar Necklace is the highest AP to accuracy ratio available, which is what makes this item good.  It was argued that a PEN RLN is better than a TET Deboreka, but a PEN Deboreka is #1 in most cases.

The bad side of choosing this necklace is being somewhat "locked out" of a Deboreka, or, PEN Ogre/Laytenn.  Since we can only use one necklace at a time in our chosen build.  Yes, you can still get a Debo, but won't be able to use the Debo and a RLN at the same time, which is why, IMO, a Turo's Belt is BiS for a single accuracy item build, since, you can slot in a Deboreka, which is a huge boost to AP.

I'm not entirely sure what you're implying.  But to answer this thread's question, yes, a TET RLN is a good item.  Also, BDO has no real "end-game"...by "end-game" most players refer to the highest end grind spots, like Ash Forest and Crypt.  To me, Ash and Crypt are "end-game" locations.  And to grind these areas effectively, you'll need PEN accessories.  Personally, I am gearing up to be able to grind Ash Forest effectively, I just need more DP (I am 289 AP Kutum, which is OK AP for Ash, I guess).  Elvia, Turo's, Sycria, Star's End are"higher-end" IMO, which means, to me, these areas aren't "end-game", just, on the higher side of the gear spectrum.  Maybe you have a different definition of "end-game" as I do?  It's tough because the game doesn't give a strict definition on what BDO's "end-game" is.

Your opinion?

Lunars is essentially a best in slot necklace, especially since accuracy is king on BDO for obtaining 100% hitrate.

Granted, you don't need an excessive amount of accuracy (especially depending on your class), but ideally, you'd just need a minimum of 2 accuracy accessories to generally have a decent amount of accuracy (450-500 is what you want to aim for).

The trade-off of AP to accuracy defines how effective each piece is. The order is: Lunars -> Turos -> ominous -> Dawns

By the time you need to consider ominous, you should already have enough accuracy in most situations.

Short answer is, you're wearing one of the best necklaces in game (and it's BIS at pen with the exception of pen deboreka).
