I started playing this game three years ago. Not long after, I started the quest for BlackStar Armor. I have been grinding for THREE YEARS and have not gotten ONE SINGLE SPECTER'S ENERGY!!! The ONLY piece of blackstar gear I've been able to get through my own efforts (not off the market) is the main weapon. Why is this like this?! Why has this not been fixed?! THREE YEARS!!! At this rate I could LITTERALLY die of old age before I aquire a full set of gear through my own efforts. 

There are a lot of things wrong with this game, but this is absolutely insane! FIX THIS! GIVE ME MY SPECTER'S ENERGY!!!!!

You gotta grind at spots where it drops. I have 15 specters. 5 specters dropped in 2 hours of night Sherekhan. 3 dropped at Manshaums \o/

Specter's Energy hasn't been in the game for 3 years, but for a much shorter time and is extremely rare (the chance is lower than for golden accessories).

Playing since 2016. I know Specters Energy haven't been here for that long, but i only got 2 pieces droped until today... So yes, this rng or whatever dirty, foggy math PA use, is just stupid and unjust.
And to be clear to those who say "farm where it drops" I know exactly where it drops. Or in this case doesn't.

Try harder. It's a rare drop just do a daily grind where it drops each day you will get it in time.

Thank you, but I dont try to specifically farm them anymore. Its easier for me to gather the silver and buy whatever i need from the market.

About the time: i sure play at my own pace, over the years i learned that the frustration curve will go skyrocketing if i obsessively try too hard on anything in BDO.

Just grind thornwood...

Where are you grinding for it? There are places that have massive droprate of specters, and other palces that do not. And I mean massive. You can sometimes get multiple specters per hour at Thornwood Forest, for example, but might never get a specters energy at some other grindspots. where are YOU grinding?
  
Also do you use loot scrolls for droprate buffs? Raw droprates are very small. Loot scrolls and other droprate % increase buffs add up to make your chances much better. 

With the right methods, like the post above me, you can definitely have your Specter's Energy within a week or two if you grind an hr a day. There are some grind spots with very high chance to drop Specter's Energy. Try Thornwood first since it is the highest silver/hr of the choices but if it's too hard you can also try Protty Cave (on Weita Island -> North of Velia) or Upper Sycraia. These three spots have the highest drop rate. If you do not like these spots you can also obtain Specters Energy at a large amount of other lower AP spots but it will take you longer. If you grind for Infinite Potion all of those spots can drop Specter's Energy.
