Yesterday after an apparent patch update, I have been unable to log on.  Whe I start the launcher I get the "Can't apply patch..." error. I have tried to clear download cache, checked integrity of files and reinstalled game. Nothing has worked. I'm looking for reasonable suggestions (not too difficult).  I'm been a consistent every day player for over a year, but if I can't log on, I'll have to find another game. :(  Appreciate any help. thx

Hi there, it might be the best to send a ticket in these cases. There are a few options for why this error occurs but the forums are rather impractical for responsive troubleshooting. You're welcome to join the official bdo discord (discord.gg/blackdesertonline) and ask for help there, and one of us ambassadors should be able to pick up your question. 

This error usually means that you don't have enough space on drive.

I have same problem, but I can log after restart. Its not my drive or conection. Its PA issue.

Are you guys using VPN by chance? When you contact PA let them know if you are and also include the name of your service provider ie: Comcast, AT&T, Rogers etc... I have seen it in another game where a similar issue occurred with many users connecting from the same datacenter (Comcast in that example) and the game company accidentally blocked users from there after a DDoS attack. Incidentally there was a DDoS attack just 2 weeks ago here. Could be related? I don't know, worth mentioning at least I think.

2 weeks ago.. I think they continue. AoS is very unstable making you lose a lot. Some other servers too. And last night and today launcher was very lagy. Well see after tomorows update. But its clear the problem is at their end.

You probably have reset your computer but I will mention this anyways.

I have had the same error after using exit lag and leaving my computer ruing for days. My connection became unstable and I would get ‘Can not apply patch’ even though my connection was still working in other areas, some sort of buffer issue/memory leak for leaving my computer on so long.
