Hitbox Bug on Prime:Rift Chain 

This has been discussed directly with members of PA, videos have been sent in and tickets have been submitted.

The big blue trail for Rift Chain acts like a 30-foot long hitbox, which eats all forms of incoming damage from the beginning to the end of its animation. This issue has been touched upon by other classes before, but because this skill takes so long to complete and moves slowly, it means taking massive damage for the entire duration. 

This is made worse by the fact Succession Sage doesn't have any other way to reliably move even shorter distances. So if he has to reposition, he has to get out that huge trail and eat huge amounts of damage for the privilege. 

This causes a great deal of frustration making both high end PvE and PvP an extremely frustrating experience for Succession players. This is a death sentence in certain areas, on a slow squishy class with no sustain. 

Please add a faster, short-range alternate movement skill so players can reposition, or find some way to prevent this 30-foot Rift Chain hitbox from soaking up every single hit in the area and getting players killed.

I wouldn't be so sure this is a hitbox issue. This is an SA movement skill during its cooldown, hence it is subject to lag just like any other SA movement skill. Your position is not always where it is on the server, as it is on your game client. There is lag between when you start to move on your end, and when that movement is applied on the server and on other players' game clients.

You taking damage from abilities that seem to not have hit you on your screen is more than likely a result of this. They hit where you were according to the server, or according to another player's screen. The effect of Rift Chain's trail is very likely just that, only a particle effect.

I play Succession Sage in PvP on fairly high ping ~85-110 or so, and the damage I take during on-cooldown Rift Chain use is pretty easy to tell it's from lag or just the skill actually hitting me.

I agree that's a thing, but the point still stands that because it takes so long for the animation to complete, its more time spent lingering and taking that extra damage that other classes with faster or alternative movement may only experience a portion of.

Its not just pvp that it's an issue either, we've got sages dying from an entire screen away because their rift trail was on the cusp of an mob aoe. They had no other way to get out of that situation and they were killed for it. 

I don't know if you've checked out the sage discord or YouTube, but there's clips on there showcasing the issue, after giving that a watch, I'd challenge anyone to tell me the SA movement on that skill is fit for purpose.

If the rift chain problem can't be fixed due to the servers (we're guessing here though) then a short fast movement skill should be incorporated instead so they have the option to use a shorter dash to reposition instead of Riftchain.
