Well magnus ain't really made the map obsolate, given how bad magnus teleport is QOL wise. The only situation where magnus is usefull if u want to go to the other side of the world, but the map could not teleport such long range anyway.

I sincerely disagree, Magnus has made the Compass worse, not the map. 

If anything it made it better since you can share it with alts across regions.

You can't use Magnus from your grind spot. You can't use Magnus from city centre either.

Here's a list of uses for the map, all of them still relevant to this day :

- Go back to town to sell/repair during grind ;

- Go back to town to buff yourself using furniture or church during grind ;

- Go back to town to access guild storage, NPCs, for whatever purpose (for example, recover Pledge to activate guild buffs)

- Access Sycraia, Hystria or other hardly accessible spots instantly : have your useless alt in there.

Give alt the map (thanks Magnus for shared storage ;) ), have him teleport to town. Tag him on your main, teleport back. Your main is now in Sycraia. Done grinding 6h later ? Use map on alt. Untag in city. Use tp back to bring alt back to Sycraia. There are many variations of that use

- ArchMap fishing : You can fish in Ross Sea and sell in Port Ratt with map then go back. With recent fishing changes, that's 150M per night full afk. More if you are active. 

With shared storage I'm expecting people to find really creative ways to use the map. Meanwhile the compass has lost half of its niche.
I'm not against map improvements, but saying it was impacted negatively by Magnus is incorrect.
