The "bone" they are throwing us are the female classes, not interested in staring at a sweaty male's ass while gaming. Most men I know who play the game have 0 interest in male chars, nor do I.
Pro Tip: Playing CHAD in BDO won't make you a 'roided up macho man IRL and won't make people believe you are one, and since it doesn't matter what the gender of the class is according to some zoom zooms in this thread (that very notion is retarded, but I won't get into that), why do you mind? :) One of BDO's strongest pluses are the aesthetics, and, quite obviously, these aesthetics shine on females which, as someone else unceremoniously put it, one can LuST OvEr. And like it or not, most men who play do exactly that. Releasing sweaty male apes will lose them a lot of money on outfits, so they are doing the only logical thing tbf.
Since I've been interacting in Discord with the BDO population I have learned there is a huge difference between men and males in this world so you have to be a bit more descriptive on what types are looking at sweaty male avatar asses in the game.
While I have whaled in the past in Black Desert Online, it has never been on costumes to wear on a female avatar in BDO ( Costumes were sold to the now non-existant RP community so they could dress up their character). I know I won't bother to spend money in this game like I did on costumes for personnel character use ( willing to spend $5,000 on costumes) only if I see a Dwarf or Rhutum class introduced, and it's not because I want to look at their " sweaty asses."
In my opinion, PA goong forward should mix it up a bit between male and female classes, if they want to retain or keep bringing in new players.
I wanted to add , while I am pro male character representation in BDO, I am really enjoying Woosa and Maegu game play.
