Just reposting this as it was removed from a previous post by the OP.  This is my guild, my screenshot.  You can not see the offender's name, just the idiocy.  This is 1 page of 3 listing the items taken from the bank.  As you can see none of these items would do the thief any good as they would be deleted after leaving the guild, only the Skins and Spikes.  As I said before, stealing plain and simple.

I fully support the idea of creating a status that doesn't allow automatically to pick into the storage! At least it should be possible after a trial only! And in the best case, that should be selectionable, so if we already know a player that just joined the guild, we can give him full access to the gs. It just shouldn't be by default!

Sorry if it sounded like I was trying to justify the theft, that's my mistake. I was simply pointing out that most if not all of the recent reported guild thefts were conducted by a specific user using that specific justification to have the thefts function as a way to also harass a specific guild. Obviously everyone here looking for helpful solutions to the guild apprentice theft problem knows stealing is wrong. Otherwise we'd all be thieves who wouldn't report this as a problem in the first place, possibly even the type that accuses our victims of simply whining when they try to use public feedback have their favorite griefing game mechanics removed.

I think you're onto something with the selection of permissions, too. The apprenticeship period of new guild members was already reduced to favor siege/node guilds, and apprentices were allowed to withdraw storage items so that they could set up traps and structures without having to wait for a long time, but most of those guilds that I know of have fairly organized officer structures and active guildmasters and advisors. It seems to me that, similar to guild allowances, giving each individual user a manually reviewed checkbox for guild storage withdrawal permissions would work well. That way pvp guilds could still deploy apprentices to use traps and structures during node wars by checking the box when they join, but sailing guilds or other groups of PVE/Lifeskill guilds being targeted would not.

This is done by a small group of people perhaps 5 or so.  They seem to get aroused by griefing people and exploiting the fact that PA and the Devs are ignoring it, and have a circle where they rub themselves over discussions like this one.  They crave the attention I suppose. 

This isn't a player problem that can be solved without game mechanics in place to prevent it.  This was discussed ad-nauseum  years ago, and as others have stated in this thread the response was "vet your new members harder."  It was a dismissive response.   If they had only looked at it from a player/guild perspective it was a situation that couldn't be solved by players alone not without a revision of a guild's permission system.

They did give us a cookie and a pat on the head, before sending us on our way, by making it so that only officers could take out the 100 million sea monster drop items.  While we appreciated that our guild couldn't lose billions from these sociopaths destroying those items, it did nothing to protect the rest of the guild items that take a long time to accumulate, and a pain to replace.

This is where we are at today.  This is the reason why many older guild that have been around ages have shunned helping or recruiting any players who aren't known, super geared, or if new, are a personal friend of someone already in the guild or one of their allies.  New players are perceived as potential bombs that may blow up at any moment if invited to the guild.  This is hardly conducive to attracting new players to BDO and really hurts the longevity of this game.

The fix really is one of a Guild Management system where a Guild leader can create roles and assign permissions to each role as to what items they are privvy to in removing from the guild bank.  This is hardly a new concept, and is used in many many games.  The code is out there, has been for ages.  You could also section the existing Guild bank slots.  Where you can have for example 3 sections and permissions assignable to who can access which section. 

While this may seem like a small issue being abused by a handful of people, the damage being done is extensive, and what is stopping others from creating their own throw away accounts and joining in this toxic, and abusive behavior?

I am in Brixy's guild that got ripped off. If something is not done to fix this nonsense + other stuff that PA does not do for players, I plan on leaving the game. If this were happening in Korea my guess is they would fix asap. Have been in the game since day one launch (took 18 months off) and PA just seems to be ignoring the issues long-term and even new players are pointing out to them. Maybe Pantheon will get there derriere in gear and release that game sooner. Getting tired of lack of respect we are getting from the powers that be.
