I got sunk by the Goldmont Pirates when I tried going by fishing boat! It was a special challenge. I then used Bartali's Sailboat, and though it was slow going, I got there. But again, it was indeed an unforgettable experience. And what awaited me, Port Ratt, was WORTH it!!!
I use my carrack and get laughed at since its a balance carrack
I generally don't agree with some people here in the forums.
BUT with this post I 100% agree.
I had imagined that one day with this new region that crossing those gates to finally see what is beyond is part of the adventure.
It took me hours to get there a long time ago and of course like some of us getting stuck out there do to a escape then waiting for a guildmate to come get you.
Would be sad to see Port Rat in its current state dissappear.
I realize there is change but the magnus already destroyed the sea battles that could of been with everyone trying to get to Ratt for the new gear. So many things changing for the worse and I think this def would be a really bad decision.
So let's keep Ratt like it is.
Yeah, they ruined everything.
Instead of fixing buggs and finishing what is already in game, they prefer to make something new and easier: magnus and their moon land we don't care about. Easier for them to make everything the way they want it NOW.
Hello, Atharyon!
We're delighted to see you and others express such adoration and love for Port Ratt. However, we hope you'll give the new Nampo Harbor a chance as well!
As mentioned at Calpheon Ball 2022, we reworked our concept for "Haso," which was originally intended to be the sole "eastern-themed" civilization in the world of Black Desert, to that of our current Land of the Morning Light. This rework necessitated the transformation of Port Ratt into Nampo Harbor. One of our goals behind this change was to make Nampo Harbor a more comfortable experience compared to the rather cramped one that was the existing Port Ratt, especially since it will be the starting place of your adventures in the region and the meeting place of fresh and familiar faces.
And so, we welcome you to send us your feedback again after you see the new Nampo Harbor when Land of the Morning Light is playable next year!
Why can't we just have both? :( I am excited to see Nampo Harbor, but I don't want to lose Port Ratt, either!
Port Ratt could be moved—plenty of room east of Valencia or west of Kamasylvia. Alternatively, Port Ratt could be an instanced destination from the Magnus—just so that we can visit. :(
Please, PA, reconsider!
They could definitely keep the old village of Port Ratt, even if they hire new wharf managers, blacksmiths, etc.
All in all, it makes no sense to wipe a city with no backstory for it, no remnants of it, no nothing. And yeah, I think we did get attached to that spot of Nowhereland.
You will be missed, Port Ratt!

Wow, really pretty screenshot! I didnt even think of how it could snow at Port Ratt too! Now I want to head over there and hope that it snows, to take some snowy Port Ratt shots :D. Crazy to think moments like this won't be possible in the future if they completely remove the location, and don't at least move it somewhere else :(. Please PA, at least move Port Ratt to be in the Magnus as suggested above, or to another area on the map so we can still visit!
At least PA, make an event in Port Ratt before you take it off our hands! Let us enjoy it one last time! Make something wonderful for all the players that you seem to disapoint... obviously, as you can see here. Give us a chance to tell it GoodBye!
Or say something about relocating Port Ratt instead of totally erasing it!
Or both: an event AND relocating it!

This topic is now on the feedback board!
Dear Developers: Thanks for taking our concerns seriously on this matter!
No @Musa4ever, it's in the feedback board as "Reviewed". It means they won't take care at all about our request.
Oh, so that means they think they have done their job by having a GM answer and tell us to accept it and get back in line......
Ugh.
I refuse to give up hope.
Thanks, Prise! +1 for correcting my false hope!
