Yeah same the weighted more realistic animation is better. Face the facts people play a modern mmo like this for all the features combat and graphics as well as fluid good animations. If you want WoW animations go play WoW. the outdated 2000's animations do not belong in a high fidelity game like this, makes the game seem cheaper especially as someone who bought the game when it first came out 60$ plus we all spend ridiculus amounts of money on the pearl shop we pay all this crap to have a great game, not some cheap shit from 1998
I honestly didn't agree with all the people complaining about the newer animations with the weighted movement. Sad to see the animations ruined because of people complaining over something that wasn't a significant issue. It only made things like tending your farm or gathering a little more difficult until you got used to it.
This would have only worked if it were consistent over all classes. Most older classes don't have weighted animations, and I don't think that giving them weighted movement would've sat well with people.
In my opinion the older classes need a way bigger rework if they want true consistency over all classes, because compared to newer classes they have way more abrupt short -almost spastic- attack animations (looking at you Musa and Warrior...), whereas new classeses attacks are usually already more weighted in their attacks. I feel like the class design direction nowadays differs quite a bit from the original one, and it's created this odd contrast between old vs new.
It's pointless to debate about this as it seems.
I do not understand at all why the devs do not give us the choice. Somewhere in settings. Maybe in the quality of life tab.
Classic movment animation (movement animations of old classes).
Natural movement animations (weighted movement animations).
Improved movement animations (barebones animations resp. character stops instantly).
Everyone would be content, right?
I like this change, my grinding felt so much smoother as a result of this. I also love the fact that I can stop my archer on point now and stop hitting the sides of doorways to the buildings/rooms im trying to enter
How does that affect your grinding? This is about a missing animation outside of combat stance. No weapon drawn.
