Are Ap-Caps in PVE necessary?

The times of sausans are long gone, why are Ap-Caps still a thing?
There are still 300ap+ ppl on centaurs/cadry ect just to be able to crush any1 for dfs i assume?
We are already locked in the 1shot style grind by the loot speed.
Why are endgame spots AP-Capped?
What are good reasons FOR AP-Caps on grind zones?

Yes. If stars end wasn't capped it'd be absolutely busted. Same with something like swamp nagas. It'd blow bloody monastery out of the water

im certain pets leave loot behind as it is rn...

Well the reason why there was no t5 pets initally is to cap max loot.
But since the whiners cryed a river so PA added t5 pets, so now AP caps are kinda needed.
Ultimately this is a balance issue, and since PA can't give less about balance they use bandaid fixes like these caps to try hiding the extreme inbalances across the board.

Why are you against it, here just to argue?
By removing the caps they have 1 variable less which makes if they wanted to, balancing easier.

Wait you werent you one of the ones who was in support of t5 pets ...
Also t5 pets was needed for treasure item places anyway instead of manually picking up loot which defeated the purpose of having pets

Remove the AP cap. Add diminishing returns, based on gearscore difference between recommended and the player's. 100 gearscore gap pushing the trash loot drop chance into treasure items percentages. Fixed. Kinda. Or at least, ppl wanting the AP cap removed now, will gladly trade it in to get their loot back.
