Dear PA,

I didn't know where else to suggest this so I'll just put this out here.
This may not be entirely about BDO but I've read that Crimson Desert was going to be a prequel to Black Desert, set in the same universe, and somehow this was changed.
If that's true, I don't know the reasons that made you change that but please do consider making it in BDO's universe in some way.

There are at least 2 reasons why I think it's a good idea.

For one, it would make it more likely that people who play Crimson would want to try out BDO when they like the game.

Vice versa, it would make it more likely that BDO players/fans would want to play Crimson as well, hence supporting both games and even widening the franchise.

I can speak for myself, I'm not an avid player of single player games, I play just a select few of them, but so far, since I'm liking the BD universe, I'd be more willing to give Crimson a try if it was set in the same universe so please do consider it.

If PA keep handling things they are, they would try hard to get away from BDO as far as possible, because no sane person will willingly playing other product from BDO developers. PA wasn't any kind of good and etc, all they have is graphics, but when you have to play on lowest graphics for better "mechanics" its take away only benefits they have. So BDO is  a buggy/exploitable mess where developers don't listen to playerbase, flip flop FOTM's in "weekly balancing"  and apply ridiculous changes, while expecting players to pay them much for reskinned naked womans with huge boobs and naked bottom.

I understand how you feel about some of your points but why are you playing a game you hate so much?

What are some of the things keeping you playing the game this far?

The same reason BDO got successful in the first place, right now there is no real competitor to BDO in term of gameplay. There is huge difference in play, log in to do crap daily you don't really care anymore to then fail RNG roll is not really playing.

As a said, right now PA destroying foundation of game in order to quick $ i guess and shiffting it to another genre, where its stand no chance to compete to anyone.

The things that brought me to BDO are pretty much the same things I stay for which are mostly graphics based, open world, plenty to do, and the semifluid combat.

On the other hand yes I am slightly frustrated that what they do with the graphics is amazing to some degree (best graphical character creation out ther) but then loaded behind such an unoptimized sytem that only Bethesda can beat them in poor optimization quality.

There are some things I don't enjoy but just like many other games I have played:

I enjoy it so I play it, when I don't enjoy it I will stop playing.

crimson was mostlikely canceled.

They realized:

what the other guy said: public opinion = bdo p2w trash

and UE5 will blow their engine into space.

They are probably scrambling rn how to compete in the future of UE5.

BDO isnt the good looking mmo anymore, it has some fancy hack and slash gameplay from 2003, 1star pvp mechanics and imo good grinding goals (treasures, but at somepoint there is nothing there, cuz many dont want the sail and/or will never attempt the ring)

But if you look at MMOs like FFXIV and WoW, they use even older engines yet they're still successfully surviving to this day and loads of new content are being added to them, expansion after expansion of innovative new features, new classes, new zones and their communities are thriving for a decade and more, even FFXIV is about to get its first major graphical upgrade next expansion after a decade of being around so I don't think UE5 is the threat to the current successful MMOs, even Throne and Liberty will be using UE4 and the graphics looks really good for an MMO so far from what has been showcased and presented.
I think that an MMO can survive regardless of that, it's more about what else PA plans that the game offers in the future aside from appealing graphics and combat style, I look forward to seeing that.
